The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the gentle rustle of leaves as a light breeze danced through the trees. In the heart of the forest, Kunti sat in deep meditation, her eyes closed in devotion.

She was surrounded by flickering oil lamps. The soft sounds of her chanting fill the air, as she worships Dharmadev and makes some humble offerings, seeking his divine blessings.

And then Kunti took a deep breath and began to chant the mantra given to her by Rishi Durvasa. With a soft and melodious voice as she called upon the god, from who she was instructed to beget a child from. As she continues to recite the sacred words, her devotion and sincerity seem to fill the air around her.

As the incantations reach a crescendo, a brilliant, golden light materializes before her, radiating an exquisite warmth. Kunti's eyes flutter open, and she beholds the light transforming into a tangible form. Dharmdev, whose body is said to be fame, truth, self-control, purity, uprightness, humility, steadfastness, charity, austerities and brahmacharya, appears in front of her by taking on a physical form.

"Pranaam prabhu." Kunti bowed her head.

Dharmdev smiled raising a hand, "Kalyanamastu."

Kunti said with joined hands, "Dev, mai aapse iss mantra ke fal ki kaamna karti hu. Mujhe ek aisa putra pradaan karne ki kripa kare, jo sadev dharm mei dridh rahe, jo jatil se jatil paristhiti mei bhi dharm ka saath na chhode. Aapke sabhi guno se mandit, ek tejasvi putra ki kaamna hai."

"Jeevan ke sabhi sangharsho, sabhi kathinayiyo, sabhi yuddho mei jiski buddhi sthir rahegi, jo sadev dharm ke prati samarpit rahega, aisa putra mai tumhe awashya pradaan karunga." Dharmdev said.

A smile of sheer awe and reverence graced Kunti's lips as she once again humbly bowed her head in the presence of the godly manifestation. And thus she united with him, following the laws of Niyog.

Gandhari lay in her bed, tossing and turning in agony as the pain of her prolonged pregnancy wracked her body. Her once graceful and regal form was now contorted with discomfort, her face etched with lines of pain. The weight of the unborn child seemed to press down on her, causing her every movement to be a struggle.

The maids surrounded her, their worried faces illuminated by the soft glow of the oil lamps. They bustled around, trying to offer her different remedies and medicines to ease her suffering. Some held bowls of aromatic oils, while others brought forth herbal concoctions, hoping that one of them would alleviate the pain of Gandhari, who had been pregnant for a year.

"Kyu... Kyu apni Mata ko itna kasht de rahe ho ?" Gandhari muttered.

Suddenly, a pratihari burst into the room, bearing a message from Dhritrashtra.

"Maharaj aapko bula rahe hai Maharani." She said with bowed head.

Despite her pain, Gandhari tried to sit up, knowing she had to attend to her husband's wishes and needs, but the effort was too much for her weakened body, and she fell back onto the bed with a cry of anguish, her blindfolds becoming wer from tears of pain.

"Maharani !" The maids held her, making her lie back down on the maid.

Breathing heavily, Gandhari said, "Maharaj ko meri.... Meri awashyakta hai."

"Parantu aapka swasthya !"

"Aap iss sthiti mei nahi jisme aap Maharaj ki sewa kar sake."

The maids fretted over her, their voices filled with concern. They beseeched her to stay and not burden herself. Gandhari breathed heavily tried to find some semblance of comfort amidst the relentless pain.

"Tum." Gandhari called a nearby maid, who was holding the queens hand.

The maid said, "Aadesh."

"Jab tak mai swasth na ho jaayu, tum Maharaj Dhritrashtra ki sewa karogi. Unki har aagya ka palan karna." Gandhari said.

"Jaisi aapki aagya." The maid bowed her head.

"Ab jaao." Gandhari said letting go of her hand. The maid hurriedly went outside the room, to attend to the needs of the king.

Gandhari heaved a heavy sigh and tried to find some semblance of comfort amidst the relentless pain. As the day wore on, she continued to suffer, her body wracked with pain.

"Shiv Shiv Shambhu... O Shankar..." She prayed to Mahadev for the strength to endure, and for her child to finally be born.

Another MYTH from Mahabharat is that Gandhari was pregnant for 1 year before she hit her belly.... But she had actually been pregnant for 2 years. It is said when Kunti summoned Dharmdev, Gandhari was already pregnant for a year.

And yes Pandavas were born through a natural birth

And yes Pandavas were born through a natural birth... It's just that their fathers were gods, other than that it's a pretty human way of reproduction... Star Plus Mahabharat ke tarah tapak nahi gaye the upar se-
Saying so just in case, if it wasn't clear through the birth of Karn 🌝
