Preparation time

For this story Maya and Sullivan and Maya and Chief Ross talk about something else which will be revealed soon. Mia is seven months pregnant.
Maya: Its the big clinic today so please Mia just stay away from the barn, you can be anywhere else but the barn.
Mia: Thats okay I've got a couple of assignments due soon anyways... most of them are done I just need to read over them.
Carina: Then make sure you have your laptop charger.
Carina comes out over from the side of the chair in the living room, charger in hand.
Mia: Thanks Carina.
At the station after Carina leaves for the hospital.
Maya: Hey kiddo, Uncle Jack is freaking out.
Mia: When is Uncle Jack not freaking out? What happened?
Maya: Carina had a patient go into early labour and had to go to the hospital, Jack is freaking out saying he can't do this without her.
Mia: Last I heard you had no patients?
Maya: Yeah we still don't.
Mia: Ohhh...
A little bit later.
Mia: Maya why are you up here? I thought you would be downstairs helping with the clinic.
Maya: Yeah well there still wasn't many people at the clinic so I came for a run.
Mia: Maya, Maya the chief, Maya!
Maya: Hi, uh.... Chief.
Mia: I'm going to go and finish my work I'm almost done and I just wanna be done.
1 hour later.
Maya: I'm going to be up on the roof with Sullivan, Jack has someone in the showers please stay here, in the beanery. Don't ask questions.
Travis come up behind Mia and hugs her.
Mia: What's this for?
Travis: I had a patient can't say much about it but I just needed to call my mum and hug you.
Natasha: Yeah I've got to get in on this hug.
Mia: You two are weird.
Travis: Rude, I won't come and help you with the nursery then.
Mia: No please do, all of 19 and Tìa Andy is going to be there. Please commit wont be the same without you Uncle Trav.
Natasha: Hmmm I might calling you Trav.
Travis: You will not.
Carina: What are you both doing with my bambina?
Natasha: I may speak Korean but I do not speak Italian.
Mia: Bambina means little girl.
Natasha: What's a little boy?
Mia: Bambino.
Carina: AHH you've been learning.
Mia: You speak it all the time around the apartment but I only know them and Bella and Ciao so don't get too excited.
Carina: Well these Bambino's are going to speak fluent Italian.
Mia: Well your in charge of that.
Maya: I want someone we know for the sp!rm donor. Ohh....
Natasha: Ahhh and now I'm going to leave.
Mia: Ewww I did not want to hear that.
Travis: Yeah I didn't need to know that.
Mia: I'll see you guys later.
The next morning.
Mia: Tìa Andy your here!!
Maya: Are you okay?
Andy: Yeah I'm alright anyways come on let's get on with this nursery.
Jack: What needs doing again??
Carina: Everything, it needs painting everything needs building and then it's the decorations.
Mia: Then it all needs stocking up.
Maya: Yeah plus I got a call of Laura apparently we need to buy the pram as soon as.
Mia: That was not my fault.
Travis: Come on then let's do this.
Vic: So how are we doing this?
Mia: One side is going be blue with clouds everywhere.
Carina: And the other side is going to be green with animals everywhere.
Ben: So do we split off into two teams or do it together?
Mia: Together, that why your all here.
Vic: So how are you feeling?
Mia: Does it sound bad that I just want this over with?
Maya: All girls say that.
Ben: Yeah the amount of times I've heard that, and then a couple of years later they're back.
Mia: Yeah well that is not going to happen.
Andy: So apart from that how are you feeling about like after they're born?
Mia: We're taking it one day at a time lets get through labour and birth first please.
Jack: But its good to plan ahead.
Sullivan: Whis going yo have the twins when Maya and Carina are at work and your at school?
Mia: Lilly's mum Laura is moving to working from home, they can do that so she'll have them for me.
Vic: What about next year when you do your exams?
Mia: That I'm certainly not sure of yet.
Carina: Can you guys stop grilling her please.
Maya: Yeah enough with the questions it will be what it will be.
Vic: We were only asking because well......
Ben: You guys are trying to do it all yourself and believe me that doesn't work.
Andy: Maya do you remember what dad would say, it takes a village.
Jack: We are her village, your village.
Sullivan: You have to let us help otherwise your just gonna drown.
Travis: Just because there your twins Mia they're still going to be firehouse babys.
Carina: Ahh you guys are making me cry.
Maya: Carinas right can we just get to painting.
As Mia turns around Travis swipes her nose with the paintbrush.
Mia: Oh this is war.
Vic: You two have so had it now.
Maya: Can we not waist the paint.... none of them are listening to me are they?
Carina: Not a word.
Maya: Okay all of you break it up before we use up all the paint.
Mia: I was going to say Alexa play Ed Sheeran.
2 hours later.
Maya: Right the walls are done lets start building.
Sullivan: What to build?
Ben: You have no idea.
Maya: Theres 2 cots a wardrobe and drawers a changing table and the nursing chair.
Jack: Wow uhmm thats alot.
Andy: Then stop complaining and lets get on with it.
3 hours later.
Travis: So whats next?
Maya: We're done for today tomorrow we just need to put everything in the right places.
Carina: And the pram is getting delivered tomorrow, so we might need some help with that.
