"Yeah, of course, I love you too"  I said.  I know he doesn't have ACTUAL feelings for me, but hey! Let me live my fantasy.  "Hey, think it's okay if we eat dinner at your place?  I sorta got grounded on a phone call with mom"

he asks, scratching his neck in embarrassment.  "Yes, always!" I said.

Later that day, about 6:30, mom opens the door to see me and Jacob together.  See, my mom had always known about my massive crush on Jacob, so she took it a bit far when she saw him.

"Jakie!! How are you?!  Addie over here has been crazy about you!! Wanting to see you and cuddle while watching a movie, sounds so nice! Me and her father haven't gotten any action like that in a while if ya know what I mean".

She smirks, laughs off the most embarrassing information I've ever told her about Jacob..well, come to think of it, the second.  Not the point!

"Yeah, no, his mom grounded him so he was wondering if he could crash here".  I said, signaling her to stop talking about how much I like him.  "Of course! It's like you're my own sometimes, well! You lovebirds get to the table, dinner's almost ready".

We sit on the couch, Jacob's processing the information.

" 'Lovebirds'?  Does she think we're together?  What was that about?".  All his questions made it even harder to face the fact that I like him.  "Don't worry about it, she's like this because she told me once that she likes the idea of me and you together...romantically...ew, right?".

Of course not ew! It sounds like the most romantic adventure I could ever have! Please don't agree with my lie.  Jacobs only chuckles and says

"Well, I can see why she likes us together, you squint when you lie, like you just did right now talking about the 'ew' stuff".

Jacob knew me well, a little too well, if I'm being honest.  But he blushed after he said that, but he's probably embarrassed about my mom.

"Dinner's ready!! Matzo ball soup, dig in!".  My mom said, gathering us around the table to say grace.  "Why don't you say grace this time Jakie?  You're our guest!".  She insists on letting Jacob pray, so he does.  He's always had a soft spot for her.

"Thank you God for this wonderful food we're about to receive, please bless the people and animals who don't have it, let it be good for our bodies, I'd also like to thank the people for receiving me as family, thank you for blessing me with people who love me, as I do love them. Amen".
"Amen" Lily adds, even the way she says "amen" is flirtatious.  Brody strokes her thigh and he bites her lip playfully.  It was uncomfortable to watch, but it's my sister so whatever.  Jacob looks at me after the prayer and smiles, a warm yet soft blush comes on the apples of his cheeks. Ugh, he's so cute when he smiles...Anyway!  I'm getting distracted here.  Why did he look at me when he was talking about love?
