How do I tell her I love her without telling her I love her?  Adeline Parker is the most brilliant, resilient, smartest, most beautiful person I know.  But how could I say anything?  She's giving me these mixed signals and I don't know what to do anymore!  I just don't want to be confused anymore. Speaking of, we're in Spanish class with Mrs. Pints.  I don't know a lick of English since like, forever.  But Adeline tends to learn way faster and is already fluent.  She does my writing and Spanish homework after school, I do her math and physics homework, fair trade!

"Alright, today, we're going to talk about...romance." She smirks at my direction.

"Miss Parker, you seem to be quite the expert in that department...Miss Parker?"

Oh God, she caught her in her writing time.

You see, Adeline likes to write as you know, so, when someone catches her writing it usually doesn't end well.  Addie didn't even notice Mrs. Pints talking to her.

He finally puts her pen down, unaware of the topic of class.

"Miss Parker?  Would you like to share your writing to the class?" Mrs. Pints coughs, sgnaling her to pay attention.

"No gracias, Maestra Pints" she answers.

"Well, if you listened"--

"The topic was romance?" Adeline jumped to the point and left Mrs. Pints speechless.

"Yes...would you like to suggest an idea about what to do with this topic for homework?"  Mrs. Pints gives every student in the class (about 30) a chance to give homework based on the topic she gives.  She knows she could be fired for having fun than actually learning the language, but this barely keeps my attention span.

Especially if Adeline gives the homework.

She stands up, ready to speak, knowing the drill for this class.

"Well, we could always write a poem in Spanish about our feelings about another student or a celebrity crush if we're Asexual."

Light bulb.

"What a great idea, Adeline Parker! Muchas gracias por tu sugerencia!"

I believe it means "Thank you very much for the suggestion".

She nods and hums in pleasure to help and sits back in her seat.

I have to get to writing.

"Class dismissed!  I want that poem by tomorrow, estudiantes!" Mrs. Pints exclaims, excited for this assignment.

Everyone leaves the classroom, damn Adeline is fast at walking.  She's always been speed-walking ever since the Lucas Bennet incident.  I feel so bad for her sometimes, but I know she's a strong person.  She'll get through anything that comes past her.

"Hey, wait up!" I say, now jogging to get to her.

She stops to let me catch a breath.

"Are you done, dummy?  Next class is in like, two minutes! Race you to English class!"

She hollers, now running away from me.  She might be short but she's like a rabbit, very fast with her feet.

Of course she won, I just let her.  Whatever, no big deal.

"You're the rotten egg" She giggles, playing with my hair as we wait for Ms. Fickleson, the writing instructor for Addie's writing club and English teacher.  I don't know how she even likes her!  She's so bitchy and only talks about romance and being alone in life because romance isn't even real.  She's a pretty depressing human being.
