71. ILARIA

"What do you know about Chief Underson?" I ask Mario, cleaning up his busted lip.

He winces. "Horrible man."

"I need more than that." I turn to look at Asahi walking in.

Oh he looks extra yummy today with his suit on. "Your lawyers outside."

"Chief won't let this go easy, Buckley was his best man." Mario says. "His weakness is his ex-wife, however. But she is a lovely woman, the sweetest ever. Would never hurt a fly."

"Why'd they divorce?" I ask.

"She didn't like what he did." Mario sits up tall, when I know Roman walked in.

Roman made him a deal.

Spare his life, let him join the gang again if he gives us all the information he possibly can, then act normal and make up lies to get our name cleared.

Mario is taking it.

"Anything I need to know about him?" Roman asks.

"Just that he's evil. I'm pretty sure he's a psychopath. He doesn't scare easy, he won't stop until he gets the answers he wants and he is expertly trained in reverse psychology to get the answers he needs so be very careful with how you word things." Mario looks at Roman. "But you're worse than anything I have ever witnessed, capo... Even him. I reckon you could crack him."

"Ilaria, speed this up. Romeo and I will be in the car." He kisses my head, then walks away.

I lean back. "Anything else?"

"If I were you i'd wear revealing clothes."

"Why?" Asahi's protective mode comes on.

"He's a predator. It will make you uncomfortable but he's less likely to be hard on you if you show a bit of boob. I don't know, he just objectifies women."

For the next 20 minutes though, Mario tells me everything about Underson that I would have needed to know.

"Thank you." I stand up. I walk out with Asahi. "I won't do that."

"Good. I don't even want him looking at you." He kisses my cheek. "Dad and I will be right outside the room."

"That's okay. I have papa and Romeo, I'll be okay with them." I grab his hand, he leads us to his car and helps me in.

Roman and Romeo were sitting in the back, I get in the front.

Romans done this numerous times and people are just terrified of Romeo so I felt safer with them.

As we arrive at the station, Asahi had to lead us through like he was simply there for a drop off.

"Underson will join you shortly." He nods to one of the conference rooms.

I hop in first, leave my crutches on the floor. Romeo sits one side of me, Roman the other side.

We knew not to speak about anything while he wasn't in here.

Room is probably wired and recording.

After about 15 minutes, this huge ass man walks in.

Roman stands up, a good height lower and definitely smaller build. "Roman Reign." He says cockily.

"Not your biological father, no?" Underson looks at me.

"Roman is my father as much as Asher." I clear my throat. "What do you want?"

"Sorry, your mothers whole whore dynamic really confuses me." He sits opposite me.

I'm sure we all had the same tilt of the eyebrow reaction to that comment, but we all stayed silent.
