The explosion caused Peter and Fury to be knocked to the side, but Peter had seen that the explosion had caused Natasha and Bruce to fall down to the lower level while he couldn't see where the explosion had sent Thor, but he looked to his left and seen Tony and Steve.
Peter's ears were bleeding and he had a loud ringing sound in his ears so he couldn't make out what Tony and Steve were saying as the explosion was too powerful for his enhanced hearing. All of a sudden the both of them ran out of the room alongside one another.
"Parker come on!" Fury shouted towards Peter but Peter just stared at him as he was confused on what he said as he couldn't hear or couldn't read his lips to make out what he was saying.
Fury then had to run back towards Peter who was still on the floor, but only then Fury noticed that Peter's ears were bleeding which confused Fury for a second as the explosion wasn't loud enough to deafen someone, and Peter was one of the furtherest ones away from it, but then Fury remembered that Peter could hear him breathing quietly when he was in Peter's apartment when he was there to recruit Peter so Fury knew Peter had enhanced hearing.
"Damnit." Fury muttered to himself, then he put a finger to his ear to active his comms and spoke up to Maria Hill
"Hill!" Fury shouted in the comms while helping Peter up to his feet.
'External detonation, number three engine is down.' Maria inform Fury
'Fire in engine three!' An agent spoke towards Maria
'Talk to me.' Maria said to him
'Turbine looks mostly intact, but it's impossible to get out there to make repairs while we're in the air.' The agent informed her
'If we lose one more engine, we won't be.' Maria said to him
'Somebody's got to get outside and patch that engine. Is Spider-Man able to?' Maria asked Fury
"Negative he's injured, he lost his hearing in the explosion. Stark do you copy?" Fury asked into the comms
'I'm on it.' Tony instantly responded
"Coulson, initiate defensive lockdown in the detention section, then get to the armoury." Fury commands Coulson
"Romanoff?" Fury asked Natasha into the comms
'We're okay' Natasha responded as well then she turns off her comms
"Peter come on." Fury says as they run to the command room, while Peter is still holding his hands to his ears as his ears were hurting and there was blood still.
As they get into the command room Fury starts shouting commands to an agent "Bring the carrier about to a 180, heading south! Take us to the water!"
"We're flying blind. Navigation's recalibrating after the engine failure." An agent inform Fury
Peter could slightly hear what everybody was saying, but there was still a loud ringing in his ears.
"Is the sun coming up?" Fury asked the agent
"Yes sir." The agent said a tiny bit confused
"Then put it on the left! Get us over water!" Fury said while pointing to the left
"One more turbine goes down, and we drop." Fury informs them
"And someone get this man a medic!" Fury said while pointing at Peter
*Meanwhile with Tony and Steve*
"Stark! I'm here!" Steve shouted out into the air.
Iron-Man comes out of nowhere and goes towards the engine still in the sky "Good. Let's see what we've got."
