Tony had gotten to Stark tower before Peter, Steve, Natasha, and Clint did.
And as Tony got there he had seen Erik Selvig on the roof with the Tesseract in some kind of machine that Tony didn't understand.
'Sir I've turned off the arc reactor, but the device is already self-sustaining.' JARVIS spoke to Tony, and Tony made a mental note of that.
"Shut it down Dr Selvig." Tony said while hovering over Selvig
"It's too late! She can't stop now. She wants to show us something! A new universe." Selvig explained
Tony didn't believe him "Ok..."
Tony then started to power up his repulsor and shot at the Tesseract but his shot had ricocheted off and shot right back at Tony.
The repulsor shot made a shockwave that knocked Selvig to the side and knocked him out.
Tony was able to steady himself but the repulsor hit forced him to land but luckily he was right at the Stark tower's roof.
'The barrier is pure energy. It's unbreachable.' JARVIS pointed out
"Yeah, I got that." Tony replied then he noticed Loki who was also on the Stark roof "Plan B."
'Sir the Mark 7 is not ready for deployment.'
"Then skip the spinning rims. We're on the clock." Tony said then he landed on the roof
He started to walk and as he did golden spinning rims started to appear from the floor, and started to remove his suit, and while his suit was getting removed he was keeping an eye on Loki.
Tony was going to the a door while Loki was going to the other door on the other side of the roof.
As the both of them got in Loki was the first to speak
"Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity."
"Uh actually, I'm here to threaten you." Tony said
"You should have left your armour on for that." Loki said
"Yeah. It's seen a bit of mileage, and you've got the glow stick of destiny." Tony replied as he headed down his stairs towards bar "Would you like a drink?"
"Stalling me won't change anything." Loki said with a grin
"No, no, threatening. If someone was going to stall you it would be Spidey." Tony said
"Ah yes, Peter? Peter Parker wasn't it?" Loki asked with a smirk
Tony ignored question but he was curious on how he knew his name as only SHIELD should know his full name "No drink are you sure? I'm having one."
"The Chitauri are coming, nothing will change that. What I have to fear?" Loki asked
"The Avengers"
Tony looked up as he start to pour a glass of whiskey and noticed Loki had a confused look
"That's what we call ourselves. We're sort of like a team. 'Earths mightiest hero's' type thing." Tony said then stopped pouring his drink
"Yes, I've met them." Loki said with a smile
"Yeah." Tony replied with a grin but that disappeared quickly "It takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one. But let's do a head count here."
"Your brother, the demigod. A super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend. Then there is a sensational, witty, superhuman, acrobatic spider, who I have to admit is my favourite one out of the team." Tony then takes a swig of his whiskey then carries on
