Peter was in the Triskelion back in DC, and as he was on his way to Fury's office to confront Fury about Fury not telling him or Steve regarding Natasha's assignment back on the mission he had met up with Steve as he was going to do the same thing, so they both waltz right into Fury's office.

Steve started off saying "You just can't stop yourself from lying, can you?"

"And you can't stop yourself from hiding things, especially from the closest ones around you. It's like you were born to keep secrets." Peter added

"I didn't lie." Fury told them while he still looked out of the window looking at scenery outside "But keeping people in the dark may be in my blood, but doesn't everyone have secrets?

"Parker, weren't you the one who had kept the people closet to you in the dark for 5 whole years back when you had a secret identity?" Fury added

"I kept them in the dark once, and that was so I could keep them safe. I was never a liar." Peter told him

"Didn't you not hear what I just said? I didn't lie, Agent Romanoff had a different mission than yours." Fury rebutted

"Which you didn't feel obliged to share." Steve chimed in

"I'm not obliged to do anything." Fury stated

"Those hostages could have died, Nick." Steve told him

"Which would've been your fault." Peter added

Fury then stood up and turns to face the two inhuman men "I sent the greatest soldier and an acrobatic web slinger who fights like the greatest warrior in history to make sure that didn't happen."

"Soldiers trusts each other. That's what makes it an army. Not a bunch of guys running around shooting guns." Steve told the spy

"I'm not a soldier and I know that." Peter chimed in

"Last time I trusted someone, I lost an eye." Fury told Steve

"Look, I didn't want you doing anything you weren't comfortable with. Agent Romanoff is comfortable with everything." Fury added

"I can't lead a mission when the people I'm leading have mission of their own." Steve said then he looks at Peter "Peter doesn't hide anything from me or anyone else, and I do not hide stuff from my team either."

"It's called compartmentalisation. Nobody spills the secrets, because nobody knows them all." Fury told them

"Expect you." Peter said as he pointed at him

"You're wrong about." Fury said and he then looked back at Steve "Both of you are. I do share...I'm nice like that."

"Come with me." Fury told them as he started walking to the elevator

"What?" Peter muttered to himself, but still followed him to the elevator alongside Steve

"Insight bay." Fury told the elevator keypad

'Captain Rogers and Mr Parker does not have clearance for Project Insight.' An AI told Fury

"Director override. Fury, Nicholas J." Fury said

'Confirmed.'

"Project Insight?" Peter asked Fury which garners a nod from him "I seen that when Stark and I were looking through the SHIELD files back on the Helicarrier."

"Of course, you did." Fury muttered to himself, then he spoke up louder so Peter and Steve could hear him "You weren't supposed to see that."

"You know, they used to play music in here." Steve said to the two after a moment of silence
