Author's pov:

Jeonguk tiptoed out in the room, a playful smile still lingering on his lips. he carefully drew the curtains, shielding Taehyung from the sun's insistent rays. back at the bedside, Jeonguk gazed at Taehyung's sleeping form. He ran a fingertip down Taehyung's cheek, his heart swelling with a tenderness he hadn't known existed.

He studied Taehyung's face, memorizing every detail - the slight curve of his nose, the flutter of his eyelashes, the soft pout of his lips. Each feature held a story, a testament to the experiences that had shaped him. Jeonguk longed to know those stories, the laughter and tears hidden behind those beautiful eyes.

A soft knock on his door of the room startled him out of his reverie. with a silent vow to unravel Taehyung's past later, Jeonguk placed a tray at the side table that held holding Taehyung's favorite breakfast and he headed out the door.

Jimin and Yeonjun stood outside, their faces etched with concern that mirrored his own.

"Before you start," Jimin began, his voice a low murmur, "he is Taehyung's manager and i'm your best friend. We have a situation."

Jeongguk's heart hammered in his chest. "What's going on?"

Jimin gestured towards Yeonjun, who spoke next. "Felix is here."

A jolt of anger surged through Jeongguk. He knew exactly what that meant.

Without another word, he followed them, his stride purposeful. He found Felix huddled with Wooshik and lawyer Seojoon. Felix, usually stoic, seemed tense, his eyes flickering with a mix of emotions.

He slammed down a laptop in front of Jeongguk, a video playing on the screen.
"Last night," Felix said, his voice clipped. "He was here. No license plate, which makes tracking him difficult, yet we have got some lead on him"

Felix's words hung heavy in the air. "On another camera, we caught his face as well."

Wooshik wasted no time pulling a photo from a newly created file. Jeongguk squeezed his eyes shut, a wave of anger crashing over him. He clenched his fists, his knuckles white. When he opened his eyes, a steely glint hardened his gaze as he stared at the photo.

The image was grainy, but it was him. Felix wasn't wrong. There was yugyeom, his face a mask of something unreadable - determination, anger, or something else entirely? Jeongguk couldn't decipher it, but it sent a shiver down his spine.

"How far have you tracked him?" Jeongguk asked, his voice laced with a dangerous edge. He couldn't stay still. He paced back and forth, his anger a caged beast threatening to break free.

Jimin, ever the mediator, took a seat beside Seojoon, the renowned lawyer. He offered a slight nod in greeting, the tension in the room palpable.

"Last location was Itaewon," Felix began, his voice grim. "He also called BamBam last night. I've been monitoring his phone calls ever since. Turns out BamBam was right. He had no clue about Yugyeom."

Jeongguk let out a frustrated yell that startled Yeonjun. "Screw BamBam! Where did he go after Itaewon?"

Jimin remained unfazed by Jeongguk's outburst, but his concern for Taehyung mirrored the anger in his best friend's eyes.

"He abandoned the car he was driving in Itaewon," Wooshik chimed in, providing further details. "It was a stolen vehicle with a broken license plate. The owner, a restaurant customer, had already filed a complaint. We have no leads after that."

Seojoon leaned closer to Jimin, their conversation a quiet murmur amidst the tension. "Does Mr. Jeon always react like this?" he inquired.

Jimin forced a calm smile as his heart pounded. "His behavior varies depending on the situation," he explained carefully. "Lately, though, Taehyung seems to have a... softening effect on him."
