Chapter Sixteen

When I woke up it was in unfamiliar sheets in way to nice of a room. The bed was empty and the shower was running. I sighed and moved as quiet as I could grabbing my clothes from the floor. I slipped on the tight dress as soon as I could keeping my heels in hand. I didn't see my bag anywhere figuring it must be flung somewhere by the door.

I sneak out not bothering to shut the door in case it makes a loud noise and make my way to the living room. A man was standing in there and waved at me "Breakfast?" He questioned

"Oh..uh no. I'm running late, some clean up thing" I say

"Ah, more for me" He shrugs "That yours" He nods at the dining table where my bag stood proud. "It was at the door when I went for a run. Figured Claude had a friend" He smiled

'Good to know his name..'

I smile grabbing my bag "Thanks"

"Good to see ya" He says turning back to cooking. I slip out the door sighing pulling out my phone to figure out where the hell I was. I see a few text from the group and ignore it for now. I just wanna get home and shower.

I sigh as I look at the 15 minute walk ahead of me and pull out my sunglasses. I stare at my heels for a second before shaking my head

'I'll take the glass in my foot'

I begin walking home following the directions on my phone hoping to see something familiar soon as I watch my battery die. When thing finally start looking familiar I see a small group of girls walking a couple yards ahead of me. I instantly recognize them and sigh. They're going in the wrong direction for the park.

"She's not answering maybe she over slept?" Rose said looking at the other two making Zoe shake her head

"She hates being late" I swing my arms around the crew making them jump and look at me

"Sure do! I got caught up in something" I smile Zoe looks down at my outfit then the heels slung over her shoulder.

"Looks like something got caught up in you" She giggles.

"Either way. Gotta get home" I say releasing them and continuing my way home "I'll head there after a shower. Yall go ahead" I wave before the popped up beside me

"No we'll walk you home" Rose beams at me "Besides we can help pick you out an outfit while you shower!"

"Oh god. What are putting me in" I squint at her making her laugh

"I'll make sure it's nothing to sparkly" Zoe nudges me

"I don't think I OWN sparkles. I'd be concerned!"

"She finds a way" Juleka mumbles staring off like she's a war veteran going through PTSD. Rose bumps her a bit

"You loved that dress!" Juleka looks up for a second before nodding a bit. We all giggle at her making a small smile creep up her face.

We continued our small talk all the way to my apartment where we saw a black limo sitting outside. Adrien stood leaned against it staring up at my apartment then down at his phone.

"Did everyone come check on me?" I laugh as I walk up. He looks over at me and beams.

"Hey girls, I see you found our runaway" He laughs walking up to us. "I came to pick you up but you weren't answering."

"She was busy" Zoe giggled making me elbow her. Adriens head tilted to the side in confusion before I grabbed his hand dragging him behind me.

"Come on you three no time to waste!" I call out.
