AN: Welcome to another chapter of Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) and the first official chapter of Season 4.
I hope you guys liked the short chapter. I wanted to have a brief chapter where Eddie and Frankie met the Shepherd sisters, and I hope it was good! I plan to start a one-shot book soon and expand more on it. I have a lot of ideas!

It was the first day of a new year of interns. And Richard Webber was going to make sure everything was going to be running smoothly.
There was a new crop of interns, hungry to learn and to do the surgeries they were dreaming about all their medical school years waiting for him, excited and nervous. Their futures ready to begin.

In the practice of medicine, change is inevitable. New surgical techniques are created, procedures are updated, levels of expertise increase.

When Eddie Sousa walked into the hospital she smiled wide. This time last year she was a little intern, only dreaming about what she was doing now.
It was almost reminiscent of her last first day, a year prior. Except this time now, she was not an intern. But a resident. One who had changed so much since then.
She had been a little twenty years old girl genius, fresh out of med school, trying to ignore all the signs that she was pregnant with her little girl she was carrying in her arms at this moment. But, now, she was a confident young woman and doctor, and couldn't imagine her life without Frankie or Mark.
"I'll take Frankie to the daycare, you, go get ready for your first day." Mark Sloan said with a smile. When Frankie was settled, she turned to look at her mom with bright blue eyes. "Say bye-bye mommy, you're going to knock 'em dead."
"Thank you peanut." Eddie said as she kissed her daughter.
"You're going to be amazing sweetheart." Mark said as he leant forwards and gave her a kiss. "I will see you later."
"Yeah, you bet you will." Eddie said as she gave him one more kiss and then she gave one more to Frankie's chubby cheek.
"I love you both!" Eddie said as she raced off to the residents lounge, running into Meredith and Cristina at the elevator.
The twisted sisters shared a smile with each other, though Eddie's was much more bright and shiner than her two persons. They were all excited for the new year, and being one step closer to their dreams.
