Playing Heart to Heart Mac DeMarco
Oh?
The cat's out of the bag?
Or perhaps the survivor?
Oh poor, poor Channie,
So sad.
But hey who doesn't have daddy issues?
He trusted them.
Was that wise?
Who knows. Oh wait. I do!!!
Hmmm. I think his dad was cool. A lot like mine.
Wait I didn't like mine.
Nevermind.
Anyways, I think it's good.
One secret out, Eight left.
Now who's gonna peep next?
No one expected such a secret. No one expected the strong, brave older to look so broken telling his story.
He shook in his seat, pausing at certain parts because the memories were too vivid. Too vivid not to relive them. Not after who he'd just seen.
He was breathing harshly by the time he was done, tears nearly spilling down his cheeks as he kept his head down. And honestly? It was heartbreaking. For everyone in the room.
It wasn't a lie that everyone, and I mean everyone, had developed a soft spot for chan. He tried hard to be their shield and shoulder for them, not being together long and he slid into that role almost immediately. But they could also see his own personal struggles. It didn't help just how fond he looked of them already. So it was inevitable for them to have soft place in their hearts for him.
And when he came back to them? Head bashed in, a purple, bluish bruise all around his throat and the visible sign he had already been crying.
He looked absolutely devastated when they first found him on the floor. There wasn't many words to describe the heartbreak on Bang Chans face, but the feelings that came over them were anything but pleasant.
If it weren't for the fact that his psychotic father was already dead, the group would be doing unthinkable things with Changbin's torture devices downstairs.
And the audacity of this man to also try and shake it off like it was nothing, his injuries, his feelings, everything. Chan was protective of them sure, but the group might just have a bigger protective streak. Could anyone tell you why though? No not at all. At this moment, they swim in between denial.
And when chan finally finished his story, there was something that set them off just slightly. The undertone that 'he deserved it all.' That 'he wasn't perfect. A failure.' That he was being punished and had helped with all of those murders. That wasn't right.
"Chan...you know, all of those murders weren't your fault right?" Felix spoke up, making sure to show reassurance and support through his face though his words seemed different. Chan didn't answer for a moment, his eyes brief leaving the table to look at him before they were back down agains
"They are. I was...I was old enough, mature enough to know what was happening."
"Chan you were still a child." Changbin added, their hands still intertwined as he squeezed for comfort.
