Playing CIRCUS by Stray kids

Come one,

Come all,

The circus is about to begin!

Aren't you just excited?

I am.

I was waiting for it the moment the audience and the clowns entered my arena.

I tip my hat and wave my hand.

I'm the ringmaster of this play.

The clowns have finished their jokes.

The audience has laughed enough.

The strong man has shown his strength.

The audience have shown admiration even if he seems too arrogant.

Now it's time for the acrobatics.

Time for two to walk the tight rope.

To bet their lives on a thin piece of thread.

Will they fall? Or will they stick the landing?

It's time for the audience to feel some real suspense and wait with bated breaths.

"Im going to confess—!"

"I'm going to confess—...."

Were the words that filled the air. But it was something weirder for there to be two people that uttered them.

Both Changbin and Felix cut each other off then themselves, whipping their heads in each others directions with an odd look like a bomb had just dropped.

Felix was still white faced but this made him paler somehow, eyebrows raised almost to his hairline as he gaped at the older.

And Changbin just quirked an eyebrow, an incredulous look floating across his face as he ground his teeth subtly together.

As for the others...

Jisung and chan, having already known of one side of the plan weren't all too surprised. Jisung simply carried on eating his canned fruit with a blank face that read, 'oh! What a surprise' with blatant sarcasm. And chan just pulled a surprised face, his mouth shaped in a comic circle as he looked between the two.

Minhos face visibly tensed. Mostly because his brother would be telling a part of HIS past unintentionally and he didn't like it at all. But he didn't bother to look up, his hands too busy playing with the handle of his rusting golf club.

Hyunjin looked alittle relieved, probably because he was happy of just how close they were growing. His face softened from where he sat beside Minho, a small smile forming.

Jeongin and Seungmin just felt neutral. Both boys didn't have much of a reaction, almost as if they hadn't heard anything. But it was obvious they had from the way Jeongin briefly looked up to Felix and the way Seungmin's lips quirked down.

"Y-you want to...?!" Felix spluttered over himself, sitting straighter in his creaky chair seat.

Changbin only cleared his throat and sat back. "Well I'll be damned...I wasn't expecting for you to talk about your past so soon."

"I...guess it's time...ha....ha..." Felix awkwardly laughed, nerves spoiling his appetite to eat as he pushed away his can of disgusting beans.

Changbin huffed a small snicker at that. He couldn't help but agree with Felix, it was time.
Time to be honest. Time to let it all out.

God they both felt slightly like clowns in this moment. It was awkwardly comical.

"What a pair." Jisung mumbled, rolling his eyes a moments later as he pushed a sticky piece of canned pineapple into his mouth, cringing at the way it dripped between his fingers.

Hyunjin sat forward, alittle too eager from how his mind raced. They were beginning to trust. They were beginning to become closer. A family? Maybe soon. Hyunjin wanted it.

"So you both will tell us about your pasts? Like for real?" He whispered, his voice a little high pitched from poorly concealed curiosity. He ignored the way Minho pushed him back into his seat by his knee. It was weird how much little force sent Hyunjin sliding back against the chair.

"I guess so..." well after learning Changbin would be talking too, Felix couldn't help but want the older to go first. His nerves were through the roof and he couldn't stop digging his nails into his thighs.

He looked around the room only for his eyes to catch Jeongin's. He couldn't help but feel a slight shiver down his spine, a numbing remembrance of Jeongin's last words to him.

Only you know the real reason why you're like this.

Those words...

Jeongin's eyes were darkened with something that Felix couldn't identify. Jeongin tilted his head down, eyes peeking out underneath his bangs as he looked to the blonde.

Oh?

"You're not saying anything, Felix." Minho cut in, a low and irritated grumble being heard which took Felix's attention from Jeongin. He even missed the annoyance that flashed over Jeongin's face as he turned to look at his brother.

Felix frowned and furrowed his eyebrows. "Um...why not?"

"Because you're also telling my business. It's none of theirs, so you're not—!"

Hyunjin cut Minho off with a short and weirded out glare, his face twisting with a deep frown. "He can do what he wants. If he's built up the courage to open up, you let him."

Minho turned to glare straight back at Hyunjin, both sharing a dirty look as Felix looked between them awkwardly. What was even going on...

"I won't...I won't bring anything up too deep about you...I promise Minho..." but his words were lost to his brother whose eyes never left Hyunjin's.

It was as if the two were having a silent conversation, a few tense moments as Minhos eyes narrowed in utter anger. Hyunjin didn't back down, squinting his eyes back at the older til his anger cracked slightly.

In a split second, Felix thought the purple haired man would snap, but he was surprised when he instead turned back to him.

"Fine. But if you say anything I deem too much information involving me, you're done talking."  And with that, Felix was sat stunned that Minho put out a fight...

"Well if you two are wanting to...you know, get on with it." Seungmin scoffed, from where he sat.

Chan pressed his lips together with a small huff and shook his head, "don't rush it take your time."

Changbin looked to Felix, noticing the way the younger twitched with anxiety. He couldn't blame him though. Having to relive your past even in story form is hard.

Without another thought,  Changbin was speaking up.

"I'll go first."
