Shiro POV

Okay...let's see.

Akane-san told me that our meeting place is at this cafe. I looked at my phone to check the time...

And it's almost 9 AM.

Good...

I guess this means I'm early. I'm sure she's the type to admire punctuality. *Sigh* Why do I even care what she thinks?

Anyway, this is the place. Either she's already here or not yet. I won't know until I get inside.

I immediately head towards the door to open and went inside.

As I got inside. As expected, the place seems to be quite normal. People chatting, ordering coffee, etc. At best, things are quite mundane here as people are going about their own business and all. That does remind me of the fact that life can be pretty simple sometimes and it doesn't have to be as complicated compared to the current situation. Despite terrorist activities are becoming well known to the public little by little. Most don't seem to be bothered at all. Ignorance truly is a powerful thing.

But I don't blame them for being that way.

Humans can sometimes have the tendency to move away from trouble or just outright see it as an afterthought. They want to be at peace in some way or another. They don't want to have any sort of anxiety that they have to deal with. I guess this is what they call defense mechanisms huh?

Anyway, moving on, I looked around the cafe to see if there are any empty seats left.

As it turns out, I saw a certain blue haired girl just waving at me from a distance.

Akane's already here and it seems that she's already saved a seat for me.

I wasted little time as I begin to head to where she is.

As I got to her, she gave me a sweet-sounding hello.

"Shiro-kun, you came." Akane-san said with a smile.

"Of course I did. You expected me not to come?" I said to her.

"No...I mean, I just thought that you'd be busy or something."

"That is true. I would be pretty busy right now but surprisingly; I have a free schedule for once."

"That's great!"

Akane exclaimed with a clear sense of happiness in her voice.

I sat down on my seat as I began to ask some questions.

I wanted to know what she wants from me.

3rd person POV

Shiro: Anyway, about that night. What is it that you want from me?

Akane: I've been thinking about it for some time, and I was wondering.

She stopped for a moment as she thinks of her next words before speaking once more.

Akane: I'm sure you know what it is. You did agree to that promise a while back...that you're going to tell me more about yourself?

Shiro: Ohh, that.

Akane: I know it is a little too soon, but I just think that...I feel like there's more to you than meets the eye. After seeing what you're capable of in Suijin, it got me thinking about where you even came from...because the way you fight and move. It almost looks...inhuman to me.
