Port Mafia HQ
3rd person POV
Inside of Mori's office.
Anne Reeve Aldrich of the Intelligence Unit began giving her report to the boss.
Aldrich: I hate to inform this to you, boss. However, it seems our resources are already being depleted by 85%. The constant attacks from the Crimson Shinigami plus the CSD's numerous involvements have already left us in a difficult situation. Also, let's not forget that the 6th generation still has monopoly over half of our resources. While your deal with them is broken by this point. Taking back those resources now would be near impossible now. It will take a while for us to regroup and regain some semblance of power.
Mori: How concerning indeed. It seems that the future of the Port Mafia is currently put into question. At this point, even I have no idea what our next move should be other than to regroup ourselves for the time being.
Aldrich: It's best that we should regroup. Besides, after what happened recently and during the whole hospital incident in Nara. It safe to say that we now have autonomy of our organization once more...but at what cost?
Mori: Hmm...
Mori barely spoke that time as Aldrich continued.
Aldrich: You know, I don't often state the obvious here but...we're in hot water sir. What exactly should we do at a time like this? Doing nothing isn't going to do us any favors. It's either we focus on taking down the 6th generation for what they did to us...or we can deal with Apocalypse given that they tried to kill you people, but I wouldn't recommend that.
Mori: I do agree with you. The latter would be suicide either way. Of course, let's factor in the idea that Kijima is now back in power. Meaning whatever dark truths that the 6th generation are going to use on us to have the government turn against us isn't going to work anymore. Kijima and I do maintain a good relationship due to the Framework. He and Natsume-sensei did come up with this ceasefire between the ADA and Port Mafia.
Aldrich: Even so. It's not going to stop the 6th generation from getting to us. They're still out there despite reports of them being defeated by their respective opponents back in Mt. Fuji. What are the chances of them going after us at some point once they too recover and regroup? They'll declare war on us soon.
Mori: Then all we can do is prepare. What else is there for us to do right now?
As the conversation continues, Souji Yoru was eavesdropping from outside as their conversation was vivid and loud.
Not long after though, Yoru began to leave.
After a minute of walking away, he was then encountered by Chuuya.
Yoru: Ohh, Chuuya-senpai. What do you want?
Chuuya: You've been eavesdropping on the boss again, haven't you?
Yoru: Why'd you ask?
Chuuya: You've been acting odd as of late. I mean, I heard you managed to escape getting killed by one of the Crimson Shinigami but...
Yoru: But what?
Chuuya: Well, for starters. You've been acting weird since we survived the whole ordeal on Mt. Fuji.
Yoru: What about it?
Chuuya: I don't know. You were already on edge since the meeting, and here you are again. Out with it, what are you thinking now?!
Yoru: As much as I want to deal with the 6th generation. Aren't there bigger things that needed dealing with?
Chuuya: Let me guess, you want to fight Apocalypse.
