Izaya POV

Heh!

That was one helluva time I had there.

Anyway...I got my ass kicked. Not like it matters.

I decided to go back to Shinjuku after all that little scuffle with Shizu-chan.

It's going to take me some time before I heal up.

How long has it been by now?

Only three weeks, I think...

Damn...that's not a long time. It almost felt like yesterday since I fought Shizu-chan.

Tch! That bastard...

I'll get my rematch at some point. Still, what happened to me now is pretty much a punishment for ignoring Shizu-chan's humanity.

However...it doesn't change my overall opinion on my love towards humans. They are still unique creatures but that in itself can be a constant.

And by that, I mean there's always a constant change in the process.

That's just the nature of society.

Anyway...let's see what's on the news today.

3rd person POV

Inside of an apartment in Shinjuku.

Orihara Izaya was watching the TV to see the latest news as of today.

News Anchor: And now, we move onto our latest news and this one was a shock to many in the area of Tokyo.

Izaya: Tokyo huh?

News Anchor: As of this morning around 10:28 AM. The Tokyo International Airport was caught in a terrorist attack. Though while not a lot of civilians were injured or dead during the whole event, there were some deaths among the security guards inside of the surveillance room, as well as a few officer deaths after an explosion that occurred. Luckily, among those officers that did survive was nonother than Yagami Soichiro who is a well-known figure among the law enforcement in this city.

Upon hearing what the anchor said, Izaya became intrigued as he wore a devious smirk on his face.

Izaya: Terrorist attack during this time of the day? Either their security is lacking, or those so-called terrorists are just geniuses to go for the security first for whatever scheme they are plotting.

As the news anchor spoke on about the incident. The news anchor began to give the reigns to a female reporter who was on the scene as she began to further explain the situation at the airport.

Reporter: I'm here live on the Tokyo International Airport. While there weren't a lot of casualties like it was mentioned before. There were plenty of panicked people around the area ranging from locals to foreigners. It was definitely a hectic situation and unfortunately, because of what happened at the surveillance room. It seems that not only that the people in there died, but there was evidence that the footage were completely tampered prior to the attack.

As the reporter continues to explain the situation.

Izaya was not just interested, his expression tells everything,

An excited look that he has never had before.

Izaya: Looks like there's something hardcore going on. Not gonna lie but...

His grin is showing as he monologued further.

Izaya: This is quite exciting. I wonder who the bastards behind that airport bombing are? Well then. Looks like I might actually get back in the game again. But first...I have to figure out who those terrorists are. To think that they would just somehow escape the airport so easily, makes me think that they have this all planned even before any of them arrived at the airport. Hmph! Guess I better do some investigating.
