Chapter 449: A Revelation to Destruction

A month and a half before the beginning of the meeting

7:58 PM

Yamanashi Prefecture

3rd person POV

The Crimson Shinigami were now hiding out in the woods as they've already set camp.

A campfire was burning in the middle, and ten tents were set up, one for each member as every one of them were minding their own business. 

Hamasaki Ronin is lying on a hammock set up in between two trees with his arms folded in his head.

Sono Ayako is sharpening her sword in peace. 

Kate Chopin is raising her phone as if to try and gain any cellphone reception.

Kateyama Oda is leaning towards a tree with his arms folded and his eyes closed.

Yamazaki Aoto is checking on his guns that he recently stole.

Ebiru Reiko was eating nori-flavored chips.

Suzuki Ryosuke was chowing down on some cup noodles with chop sticks in hand.

Kasai Kiryuu is currently punching a tree, treating it like a punching bag as training.

Chikao Tadashi is reading some papers in hand as well as looking up files that he saved on his laptop.

And the leader himself, Daigo Haru is sitting on a tree stump while reading a book called "Il Principe". A book written by Niccolo Machiavelli.

All seems quiet for the chaotic group. Until Haru smirks before looking over his members as he begins to speak.

Haru: My followers.

Everyone who was doing something begin to turn their attention to Haru.

Haru: Status report. 

Tadashi: Daigo-sama. Based on recent events. Things have been surprisingly quiet within the last two weeks or so. Port Mafia activity is at an all-time low and so far, we haven't heard of anything involving Apocalypse other than the most recent incident where Ayanokouji and Class S recently captured two members of Apocalypse.

Haru: Not much huh? Then how about the files that you've been reading into after Ronin did his job back at the hospital?

Tadashi: There is a surprising number of files that are in that computer and with the contents that are in those files. It's no wonder why Dr. Hamasaki do not want any of Atsuomi's illegal activities to be revealed to the public. Forged documents, counterfeiting, list of their kidnapped children, and so much more. It's a treasure trove of evidence that can be used to arrest Ayanokouji Atsuomi.

Ronin: That explains why Ryuzaki was in the hospital. I bet that's what he was after this whole time. Too bad though, we wouldn't want them to get to Atsuomi before we do.

Kate: How lame. Arresting the old man isn't going to do them any favors. After all, our master's plan is to destroy the White Room...and when he meant by destroy, he definitely means killing everyone who are involved with them, Atsuomi included.

Reiko: The plan isn't to send him to the authorities since the authorities themselves are already the bad guys, especially that Tsuruoka person and prime minister Kario.

Suzuki: Those are the two targets that Kijima wants us to deal with as part of the deal.

Kate: Speaking of that. How did your conversations with Kijima went by the way?

Kiryuu: Hah! You should've seen his face. He was quivering with fear. Though aside from that, thanks to some info that we've been able to gather from other sources. It seems we now have the opportunity to do what Kijima wants us to do.
