The White Room

Miya POV

I feel like this is something that has been asked before, but I had to pretty much ask myself this since given my family background and all.

Are all humans equal?

I know this is mostly what people ask these days given how shitty society is according to Tsukishiro.

At least, that's what I'm told.

Basically, I'm just like any other child in this confined space of pure white.

Yes...the White Room as they called it.

It's a place that no child should ever go through. Majority of us here are just normal children.

Children who simply have yet to fulfill their potential. This place is pretty much about forcing that potential out of us.

Through harsh experimentation. We were all subjected to this impossible task of meeting the highest expectations of these instructors.

To be honest. I find it funny that we were all treated as equally harsh despite the clear obviousness that there is nothing equal about anything at all in life.

Regardless, I simply ignore the suffering of these weakling children since unlike them.

I'm naturally gifted.

I should be given more privileges and stuff.

I've done really well in my written tests and my physical education tests were impeccable.

I'm not like those children.

Ungifted fools who crumble at a moment's notice.

There are so few people here who are on my level.

I barely talk to anyone since most of the children here in this group is unworthy of my time.

I'm the heiress to the Hamasaki family.

That name alone is enough to show my talents and I've proven it.

3rd person POV

As Miya is about to go on with her day.

She was then stopped by a certain pink haired girl.

???: Where are you going, Miya-chan?

Miya: Ohh it's you...Hanako.

In front of her is nonother than Chisaka Hanako.

While Hanako and Miya are from the same generation. Hanako is a year older than Miya but it's clear that Miya is the mature one out of the two.

Hanako: I saw your recent karate test. You kicked that chump's ass without any mercy whatsoever! It was quite...satisfying to say the least.

Miya: I'm not here for praise. Besides, why are you talking to me?

Hanako: Is it wrong?

Miya: I've heard from Tsukishiro that you came from an impoverished part of Tokyo. You're not even a member of some prestigious family so why should I waste my time with you?

Hanako: Aww don't be like that...I know we both come from different classes in society but that ain't gonna matter given that we're in the same generation and there are no true special privileges regardless of family name.

Miya: I am aware of that. That's why I have to be better than those heathens. That also includes you.

Hanako: Ara ara, you don't like holding back now, do you? Fascinating.
