I've been kept in this cold prison for at least a day now

I've been kept in this cold prison for at least a day now. Well, I can't really know for sure how long it's been but I know that minutes feel like hours.

Every moment spent here in this hell of a place is like torture, knowing that I'm probably going to be the next person to be dragged up those stone stairs by the guards, and then let out one final scream before I'm killed instantly.

And if it couldn't get any worse, all I feel is a longing to see my boy for one last moment, to say goodbye and I love you.

I love you and I'm sorry for not telling you sooner, I miss you and I wish we could be together for all eternity without any trouble. I'm sorry for turning myself in to your father, but it had to be done. To save your life. Your life over mine. Always.

These are the words I'm craving to tell him. But I know I can't. There's no going back now.

Suddenly, there's a loud thud heard, and footsteps gaining closer and closer, the sound of the clicking heels becoming more distinct and loud. My heart begins to race as I realise they're not stopping at one of the other cells as they usually do, but instead continue walking to the far end where my cell is situated.

I push myself into the corner and the metal door slowly creeks open. I look up slowly, and my eyes meet those of my very own mother.

My heart drops.

Others in this moment would be washed over with a sense of relief, but I'm certain there's nothing to be hopeful about when I meet the piercing eyes of Marie.

The mother who never really was mine.

"You've done this to yourself Jaya." Is the first words she speaks, and I barely have the strength to reply.

Short breaths escape my mouth as I feel even weaker than I did prior to when she made an appearance. The hunger and cold takes over me, so much so that even my vision grows blurry.

I notice her taking steps closer towards me, revealing a man stood behind her, a death eater mask on his face. He slowly removes it, and it's none other than my father Reynold.

My time has come.

They lift me by the arms, and drag me and my chains out of the prison. As I'm leaving the cell, I take one last glance at the small boy - Rio's little brother, as he lifts up a hand and waves slowly, a tear rolling down his cheek.
