Tobias POV
Tris and I got back from Paris about two weeks ago, and have settled back in nicely. It's August now, two weeks into August I should say. The only bad part is that school starts back up in two weeks as well.

Tris complains everyday about it, keeping count and dwelling on it. I have to remind her that she's wasting what she has left of summer on thinking about it.

"God it's hot out!" Tris exclaims coming back in from getting the mail.

"Yeah, it's the middle of summer. It's also the reason we have the air cranked, and every fan we own going." I tell her. I watched the weather this morning and apparently we hit a new record.

She rolls her eyes, tossing the mail onto the kitchen counter. We're trying to wear the least articles of clothing as possible because of the heat. Me shirtless with shorts, and Tris in a pair of her shortest shorts and a tank top.

"What are we going to do today?" She asks me. "Stay out of the sun." I say looking up at her with my eyes, I'm writing out some bills. "Yeah, what else?" She pushes.

"I don't know Tris. What do you want to do?" I ask setting the pen down.

"I'd like to go to the pool." She says. "Now??" I ask and of course she nods. "Ask Christina or something, you haven't seen the girls in a few weeks." I tell her.

"I'll call them." Tris says walking off into the bedroom. I go back to finishing the bills, hopefully before she comes back to distract me again.

She returns about twenty minutes later, and now she's distracting in a new way. She's wearing a red bikini that may I say is very flattering.

"Stop staring." Tris warns grabbing a cup from the cupboard, reaching her arm up high.

"In that outfit, not likely." I joke and she rolls her eyes. I finished the bills, and Tris is getting ready to go out.

"Who you going with?" I ask her, "Christina, Marlene, and Shauna. She begged to come because Zeke is annoying her to death." She says and I laugh, knowing that has to be true.

"I'll be back, say two hours." Tris says kissing my cheek and grabbing her towel. "Kay. And hey." I say as she reaches the front door.

"Don't let any other man take a look at you in that." I say and she smiles, "I'll try." And she leaves.

"Why don't you just tell her that?" I ask. Zeke and Uriah came over about forty minutes ago, and I've had much needed man time.

"She already has her mind made up, and her hormones scare me." Zeke says and we laugh. Zeke has been talking about how Shauna wants to have a natural birth- at home. And Zeke disagrees.

"Why does it bother you?" Uriah asks.

"Because at the hospital, if anything went wrong, you'd already be there. And if there's complications, they can do a C-section." Zeke answers, and I know that he's actually really nervous about being a father. Though he's never really said the words, you can tell.

"True." Uriah says. "Have you talked to her about it though?" I ask. "Yes. And I slept on the couch for two nights." He says and I can't help but laugh again.

"What's her reasoning for wanting it at home?" I question.

"She said she wants our home to be the first place the baby's at, and we're the first people the baby sees." He says, and I nod. "It's a good reason." Uriah comments.

"Yeah, I know. I'm just scared for her." He says and that's when I fully know that he's really ready for this. I know he's ready to do this with Shauna.

"Are her parents gonna help you guys out at all?" I ask. "No, not much. I mean maybe when she's a newborn, but they aren't happy about this." Zeke says.

"Well Tris and I are here for you if you need anything." I tell him, "Thanks." He says with a small smile.

"Let's order pizza." Uriah blurts out, and we look at him. When he sees all eyes on him he asks "What??"

Zeke and I laugh, and I know that Uriah was trying to end the awkward emotional moment. And in a small way, I'm thankful he did.
