Whew! That was a lot of note taking!"
You and Yugi walked out of class and headed to your lockers.

"Haha, agreed," Yugi smiled, "but there's lots more for me since I'm new."

"Oh yeah, that's true," you said as you and Yugi put your objects in your lockers. Which, surprisingly, your lockers were right next to each others. "If you need any help with anything, I'll be glad to help you out!"

Yugi's purple orbs shined with delight, "Thank you so much, I'm thankful that I know you (y/n)."

You couldn't help but smile, "W-well I mean hey! It's the least I could do! Anyway, it's time for lunch! Let's head over to the cafeteria!"

Yugi nodded his head, "Alright, lead the way."

He's so nice...I've never met anyone like him before...

You couldn't help but notice how many girls and guys, but of course mostly girls, were staring as the two of you walked through the halls. Giving you menacing and jealous looks.

You sighed, well, of course he's not gonna go for me... there are so many other girls....

Wait a sec! WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING!?!?

Yugi looked over at you, "(y/n)? Are you alright? You seem a bit distracted."

You snapped out of your thoughts, "huh?!?!? Oh, yeah, I'm fine. Just tired I guess."

"WAIT A SECOND... SO YOU'RE FROM JAPAN!?!?"

Your overly-excited tone caused a few dinguses to turn their heads towards you for a moment.

Yugi broke the silence with jolly laughter, "Hahaha, that is correct," he took a bite of his lunch.

You took a bite of your own food to calm yourself down. "I mean like....that's so cool!!! So you're like, a foreign exchange student kinda I guess???"

"I guess you could say that," he smiled. "I came here to America to get a different feel of the world around us. I've been living in Japan all my life, it's interesting to see new sights and meet new people, like you (y/n)"

A slight blush appeared on your cheeks, "w-well, I'm glad you like it here so far Yugi!.....well honestly, anything around here is better than this school in my opinion," you said in a stressful tone and took a sip of your drink.

Yugi let out a small laugh and looked around, "Well, yes, besides you, the people here are a little bit over confident and carry an egotistical attitude, but," Yugi looked back at you, "I'm sure your friends aren't like the others right?"

The question almost made you spit out your drink, "You are most certainly correct! I would never EVER have a lasting friendship with any other people here at this school!" You ran your hand through your (h/c) hair and shook your head, "I would never even take a chance of it."

Yugi placed a warm hand on top of your free one and looked strongly into your eyes, "As long as you have friends you can count on and know that they will always be loyal to you no matter what, than that's all that matters."

You felt butterflies fly like crazy inside your stomach, you kept your (e/c) eyes on the manly hand placed above your fragile one...

You looked back at Yugi after an awkward pause, realizing that he was still smiling that chivalrous smile.

"Y-yeah Yugi...you're right...again," you giggled, "And I'm thankful for those friends, and for you, my new amigo!"

Smiling, Yugi closed his eyes and tilted his head down, "Yes, makes me remember my friends back at home. They would love to get to know you!"

The two of you realized that your hands were still touching, you both  pulled away, nervously laughing. But...Yugi....

Was he... slightly blushing like you were?

Nah, you thought, no way Jose.
