He wasn't dead, but it would've been better if he was. He woke up to a room filled with Jensen, Gen, Misha, Vicki, Daneel, Eric Kripke, Jim, Mark and his parents all the way from San Antonio, Texas.
He remembered 3 people.
His parents, Gerald and Sharon.
He remembered Gen.
You should've seen Gen's face when he squeezed her hand; oh, she cried and told him how much she loved him.
Jared's parents were worried as their 2nd child lay in a hospital bed.
Jared looked over at Jensen," Who are you?" He asked.
With 3 words he shattered dozens of hearts.
Who are you.
Jensen walked out of the room, out of the wing, out of the hospital. In front of his car, he fell to his knees.
Jared was gone.
And there was nothing he could do to bring him back.
