Jeff ignored my comment and grabbed the collar of my shirt and turned to keep walking. I tried smacking his arm away. "It's not a leash!" I shouted referring to my shirt. He ignored me. I sighed and just followed. I glared at the back of his head.

We reached the edge of town and he crouched low. It reminded me of when a wild cat stalks it's pray. "Why are we-" Jeff cut me off. "Get down fool." He whispered violently and tugged my arm down making me fall to the floor. I pouted and swiped at the top of his head. "Ow, why did you hit me?" He asked turning to look at me. I realized how close we were. His nose was almost touching mine. I heard him swallow hard and his breath come to a slow. He looked at my lips. I chuckled. "Because you're mean." I said really slow to tease him before pushing myself away from him. He stayed still as if registering what just happened. "Are we gonna go kill something or would you like to write this in your diary of how close we were?" I teased and laughed. He's face turn red with either a blush or anger. "I don't care about that. I was only quiet because I was thinking about how stupid you were for just standing around and trying to get yourself seen. That's the fastest why to get reported you know?" He said changing subject. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Think about it, there's two stretchy looking teenagers just standing around at the edge of the forest. A murder goes down and who do you think is going to be the first person blamed? The obvious answer is us." He stated. I nodded in agreement. "Makes sense." I say and climb to my knees. I start scooping out the houses. "It may be a little to early to go kill someone...everyone is probably at work or school or doing something pointless." Jeff mumbled. I turned to him. "Then why didn't you say that in the first place?" I said frowning at him. He shrugged. "I dunno, I just said okay because you really wanted to come..." He said looking off at the houses. I stayed looking at him. "Is Jeff actually being nice to me?" I thought to myself. I was about to awkwardly thank him for bringing me anyways when he spoke. "...also I wanted to see the look of disappointment on your face..." He said almost last minute. I sighed frustrated and stood up dusting off my pants. "God, I was going to thank you for actually being nice to me but you fucked up again. You can't stand being nice for two seconds." I said irritated. He just laughed amused and stood up as well. "We'll come back later." He said ignoring all that I said. "What if I don't want to come back later." I crossed my arms. "You will." He said causally as if he actually knew. He shoved his hands in his hoodie pockets and walked closer to me. I stood up straighter, unwilling to back down a surrender to him. He leaned in a little closer and leaned his forehead against mine. "I'll make you." He said smiling. I shoved him away from me. "The hell you will." I glared at him. He shrugged casually and chuckled amused as he circled me. "Take a minute and think, Who else will take you killing? EJ? He has enough to deal with. Ben? Yeah right, good luck getting through to him while he plays video games." He smirked. Jeff stood behind me. "I know...You could ask Offender. I'm positive he'd love to bring you killing...although I can't promise you wouldn't be the one to be killed but hey it's better than nothing." Jeff said into my ear keeping his amused tone. I crossed my arms and slightly looked at him over my shoulder. He was now leaning against the tree examining his knife. "Face it doll...you need me." He said pushing himself off the tree and smirking at me. "I don't need you." I said stubbornly. His smirked dropped. "I guess we'll just have to see." He said almost challenging. "I guess so." I replied with equal challenge. It was quiet for a minute as we starred each other down. "Well...I'm tired." Jeff fake yawned and stretched his arms up. "We're going back to the mansion." He stated without choice and grabbed my arm and led me back into the forest.

Jeff approached the mansion steps. "Hurry." He said and beckoned me over. I walked over to him and he shoved me in front of him. "No why are you putting me in front?" I panicked. Out of instinct I turned around and clung to his hoodie in a bagging way. He chuckled and pushed me back by my shoulders. "Admit you need me." He smirked. I glared at him. "No." I crossed my arms. "Then go, walk in by yourself. I'm sure he already picked up your scent." Jeff shrugged and turned to walk away. He looked at me over his shoulder to see what I would do. "You suck..." I frowned. He mumbled something under his breath and I rolled my eyes turned back around to face the door. "I don't need you." I stated again. I gripped the door knob before turning it and slowly pushing open the door. I walked in and closed the door behind me, but not before catching a glimpse of Jeff's curious expression to which I sneered at. "Where's Jeff?" I heard EJ ask. "On the porch." I spoke quietly trying not to draw attention. EJ nodded before walking to me. "Where did you guys go?" He asked staying at a respectable space from me. "To a meadow and then to the edge of town." I admit with a shrug like it was no big deal. EJ laughed a bit still keeping a hushed tone. "That's a funny thought...Jeff in a meadow." He said still chuckling. I thought about it before chuckling a bit too. "I guess so." I smiled. "You should move away from the door." He stated. I realized my back was still against the door. "If I know Jeff, he'd be coming in anytime to check on you." EJ teased. I have a weird expression. "Check on me?" I asked. Suddenly there was a force pushed against the door and I was pushed into EJ. "Y/n are you-....oh..." Jeff mumbled out the last part. It took me a matter of seconds why he said that because I realized EJ caught me. My face was against his chest and both his arms were around me keeping me from falling. "You shouldn't open the door so fast." EJ stated and let me go. I turned around to face Jeff, but he was looking straight at EJ. "Thanks...pal." He said through he's teeth and grabbed my wrist only to pull me towards him. "Also...slenders brothers are spending the night." EJ said putting his hands in his pant pockets. "What? Why?" Jeff asked. For once I agreed with him. "Well they live way on the other end of the forests. So slender just told them to stay. Of course he gave offender simple rules to follow. Speaking of them slender wanted to talk to you." EJ said looking to Jeff. "Me? Why what did I do now?" He whined. EJ just shrugged and turned to walk off. "I'll talk to you guys later I have to finish something." He said and walked towards the stairs. EJ was very mysterious when he "had to finish some thing", it always made me wonder what that something was, but it wasn't to hard to figure out when there was always fresh bags of kidneys in the fridge later.
