"Jeff!" I shouted running up the porch steps. "Jeff!" I repeated until I was in the house. Every time I called his name my stomach developed more butterflies of anxiety and I felt myself grow angry. "Jeff!" I growled and venom dripped from the single word. "Geez, what is it woman?" Jeff walked down the stairs lazily, convincing me he just woke up from a nap. He yawned and stretched before shaking out his jagged black hair with his hands and stopped on the step just before me. I felt eyes on me so I turned around slightly to see everyone peeking their heads out from the rooms they were in. "Excuse me." I mumbled and glared at them making them smile innocently or chuckle nervously before disappearing. I cleared my throat and looked back to Jeff who was leaning against the banister trying to stay awake. "Hey! Wake up." I snapped making him jolt up. "Seriously Y/n...what is it?" He said very unamused and it was clear he was getting irritated. "I need to talk to you." I said sternly. "Then talk away." He yawned. "Is it true you killed my family?" I blurted out making him stop mid yawn. His expression looked more awake now and more shocked. "W-what? Where did you hear that?" He said looking down at me. "That's not the point...I just want you to answer me." I said crossing my arms. He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Alright...Come with me." He said reaching for my hand. I looked down at it before looking back at him. A sadness lingered in his eyes and I felt like I already knew the answer but something took over me, making me take his hand anyways. He led me upstairs.

"Sit." He demanded softly as he closed the door to his bedroom. I walked over to the bed and sat down. He then approached me and sat down next to me and taking my hands in his he looked at me for quite a while. "Jeff-" I began but was cut off by him kissing the tops of my hands. "Do you love me?" He blurted. My mouth hung slightly in shock and I stumbled over my words. "I-...um...Jeff..." I didn't know how to answer. "I need you to hear me out...okay? Do you think you can do that for me?" He changed subject. I slowly and hesitantly nodded. He sighed and loosened his grip on my hands. "I love you and I would have done anything for you...I still do...so you see...I refuse to lie to you." He started and I could feel my heart beat anxiously. Blood rushes to my head and my hands were sweaty, I'm glad I was sitting because I could feel my legs go numb and my feet feel wobbly. "Just tell me..." I manage to push out my mouth. He looked at me before pulling me into a soft embrace. "Yes..." He whispered in my ear. I could hear the pain in his voice but by now I was getting angry. "What?!" I said pushing him away but he held me against him. "Let me explain-" I cut him off. "There's nothing to explain!" I shouted tears brimming my eyes. I could have had a family I could have met them and be with them but now...because of him. "You don't understand they were horrible to you and-" I cut him off by finally breaking free of his grip. "Don't touch me!" I shouted tears streaming down my eyes like a river. I turned to walk out of the door but Jeff managed to run past me and stand in front of the door, blocking me. "Please Y/n...just let me explain." He begged. He reached for me but I turned away from him covering my face with my hands. "You...you...ugh!" I groaned into my hands as I crumbled to the floor. It was only a matter of seconds before I felt arms around me. "Don't." I choked and tried to wiggle free but Jeff just held my closer and I felt him rocking back and forth before kissing the top of my head. I began to feel exhausted from trying to fight back so I just laid against him. He leaned against the wall as I sat in between his legs, curled up against his chest with his arms around me. "Sssshhh...it's okay...just cry, get it out and tell me when you're ready for me to explain." He spoke sweetly into my ear as he continued to rock back and forth in a soothing way. I sobbed and sobbed and Jeff never rushed me. He stroked my hair and continued to remind me it was okay. Finally my breath fall normal and I could think straight. I sniffed a few times but the tears stopped falling. I felt him kiss the top of my head again and I found myself clinging to him. It seemed like he didn't mind and strangely...I didn't either. "Tell me." I whispered almost incoherently. My throat was sore from screaming and crying so hard. Jeff was quiet for a second almost as if waiting for me to change my mind but I just waited patiently and numbly for his explanation. "As you know, me and you grew up. You lived two house down from me and we became instant friends...kind of. Anyways that's not the point. The point is as your friend I saw things. Your parents were horrible to you. You dad cheated on your mom, they divorced he ran off to start a new family and he hardly saw you...although he'd talk with your older sister almost everyday. Your mom wanted you to be more like your older sister...cheerleader...good grades...popular I guess from what it seemed but that was never you, you hated cheerleading you had decent grades and you didn't want to be popular." Jeff stated. I stayed quiet a listened. "They didn't like that at all. There were many times I over heard your mom call you a disappointment to the family and tell you "why can't you be more like Elizabeth?" It always pissed me off because when you came back to play with me you cried and clung to me or you always seemed sad. I loved you so much then just like I do now and of course I would never want anyone to hurt you. You were always good enough to me in fact you were better, I just wish they could have seen it but you were just happy to have a family and that's one of the things I love about you...you were optimistic even when people took advantage of you and treated you like shit." He finished. I sniffed. "I know...I remember." I finally answered. It was clear now looking back on everything...I wasn't mad about it anymore honestly...I guess it just still hurt because they were my family. "And now that we're talking about it...when I killed your family I'll admit I lost control and went after you but I'm glad I didn't kill you..." Jeff said and it was clear why he said it because he kissed the side of my head lovingly. "And your immortal now because I did almost kill you but that was the only way....you see...we were dating when you were a mortal but there's a rule and I basically had the opinion of letting you go and you'd have to leave the mansion of making you immortal and continue to date you." He added. "But that didn't go as planned either...because you lost your memory." He stated. I stayed quiet a listened and thought about everything he told me. "Just don't want to let you go...I can't you're all that I have and I know I'm all you have...I just hope one day you can forgive me for fucking up because I know I do that a lot and I don't mean to it just-" I cut him off by climbing to my knees and facing him. I grabbed his face with my hands and pressed our lips together softly. It obviously took him by surprised but he immediately melted into it. It became apparent that he's been wanting this for a while because he showed no patiences. He licked my bottom lip making me half smile and pull away. He leaned forward hungrily and I stopped him with a chuckle. "What?" He blushed but kept a straight face. "Nothing." I half smiled and stood. "We'll make this work...I just need some time." I said dusting off the seat of my pants and down my legs. He stood up to and grabbed me by the waist pulling me into him. "I'm gonna finish my nap but I want you to lay with me." He stated and rested his forehead on me. I half smiled. "This is my new beginning." I thought to myself. I followed Jeff to the bed as he laid together again. I faced him as he pulled me into his chest. "Y/n?" He called my name. I hummed in response. "Hmm?" I looked up to him. "Who told you all this stuff anyways?" He asked concerned. "Why?" I asked looking away from him and leaning my head back on his chest. "...just wondering." He said trying to sound uninterested now. "He looked like slenderman but his name was offenderman...stranger creature." I yawned feeling myself get tired from all the crying. Jeff was silent.
