Grace twisted her ankle and tried not to fall on her daughters. She fell down the stairs with two children in her arms. Chester heard all the commotion and ran into the hall. He saw Grace laying on the floor, in shock with 2 crying girls in her arms. "Omg! GRACE. Don't panic." Grace had tears streaming down her face and the twins were crying too. Chester took his phone out of his pocket and typed in a number. 'Hi Mames. Can you come over right now? ... Grace fell down the stairs with the twins and I think we need to go to the hospital ... See you in 5.' The man hung up the phone and looked at the blond and his children again. Jack came running into the hallway. "Jack please go back to the living room. I'm coming in a minute." The boy turned around and ran back. "Okay Grace I'm taking Lily from you now." Grace let go of her crying daughter, who calmed down a little bit in Chester's arms. "It's okay Honey. Nothing happened. You are okay." Chester kissed her head and walked into the living room. He laid Lily down on a blanket with some toys. He placed Jack in the restricted area too, so he wouldn't run into the hallway again. He walked back into the hallway and greeted Mamrie who walked in at that moment. "Jack and Lily are in the living room." Chester said to Mamrie while taking Rosa from Grace. She still had tears streaming down her face, so Mamrie kneeled next to Grace to calm her down a bit. Chester brought Rosa to the living room and checked if the twins were okay. "Grace what happened?" The blond took a deep breath before she started talking. "Twisted my ankle because I stood on a toy and fell down the stairs. I think you guys should call an ambulance because my back really hurts." Mamrie nodded and took out her phone. She was on the phone when Chester came back. "The girls are okay. Maybe some little bruises." Chester kissed Grace's head softly. "Mamrie is calling an ambulance. Because my back really hurts." Chester nodded and they both waited until Mamrie had hung up the phone. Mamrie hung up the phone and looked from Grace to Chester. "I'll stay here with Jack. The woman said to take the girls too, just in case something is happening internally." Grace sighed. "Mames you're an angel. How can I ever repay you?" "Don't fall down the stairs with your kids again." Grace smiled. "Thank you Mames."
"Grace you are lucky. This could have been so much worst." "I am always lucky because I have you but this could have been a lot worst indeed. The twins are okay, some little bruises and I have a broken ankle, 2 fractured ribs and a sprained wrist." Chester moved to sit on the bed next to Grace. She moved over a little so he could sit more comfortable. "I'm happy you didn't tear any ligaments in your ankle because recovering from that is a lot harder." "Having a broken ankle and a sprained wrist isn't fun either. I can't do anything. A wheelchair or crutches hurt my wrist and I can't walk either. You'll have to help me with everything for the next couple weeks and also raise the kids." "Honey we'll be fine. I'll survive the first 2 weeks and after that you can already do a lot more." Grace looked at the clock. "Can we go home yet? Mamrie has been with Jack for over 6 hours now." Chester looked at his phone. "She just texted me that they have eaten together and that she'll bring him to bed if we aren't home yet." A doctor walked into the room. "How are we feeling, miss Helbig?" The blond looked at her man. "I'm feeling okay. The painkillers have just kicked in and the twins are finally calmed down enough to sleep." "It sounds like you are ready to go home." Grace nodded. "Let's get you signed out than."
"Rick I don't feel good." She placed her hand on her protruding belly. "Something doesn't feel right. I think we need to get this checked out. I'm scared something is really wrong with him or her." Mamrie started to cry. Rick took her face in his hands and wiped away some of her tears. "We'll get it checked out at the doctor's. I'm sure everything is fine and he'll come out at home in a couple weeks." "I hope you are right. But I'm still scared something is wrong. Can you call they for a appointment?" Rick kissed Mamrie's head. "I'll call to see if there is an opening."
Mamrie was seated in a wheelchair. "Mamrie Hart." A nurse walked them to a room and gave Mamrie a robe to put on. Rick could see that the redhead was feeling even worse than at home. "Do you feel him moving at all?" Mamrie shook her head. "No. Not at the moment." They sat on the table together while they waited. After a couple minutes her doctor walked in. "Hello Mamrie, I hope to not see you yet. Tell me what's is wrong?" Mamrie looked at Rick and took a deep breath. "I haven't felt him or her move since last night and something just doesn't feel right." The doctor nodded and wrote something down. "I'll get you checked out. I don't think that there is something wrong. It sounds like projected feelings but I can't be sure without checking." Mamrie turned to lay down on the table. The doctor checked her cervix before making an ultrasound. "You can look with me. Everything is okay and the reason why you are feeling like that is because of this." He moved the transducer. "What am I supposed to see here? I see a baby." The doctor looked in between Mamrie and Rick. "You're having twins. The second twin has probably been in between your ribs the whole time. He or she it started to move down a little bit and now you are feeling extra pressure." Mamrie started to cry softly. "Oh this makes me so much better. I can't believe this. We are having twins."
"This was a rollercoaster of a weekend but we are all alive and breathing. Some a little more broken than others." Grace smiled at her husband. "But we are all here now to celebrate the birthday of Jackie pants." Jack was running around with Quinten and Scarlett. Not paying attention to all of the people who had come for his birthday.
The day was a success. Most of the kids were sleeping the minute they smelled the car. Hannah and Sarah helped Chester clean up. "Grace please stop mocking. This a happy day and nothing is wrong with you." Grace kept mocking until Hannah came up to her. "Grace what's wrong? Why are you being like this?" The blond looked at her shorter friend with sad eyes. "I want to help. I want to do something and not just sit here and watch. I feel so useless." Hannah hugged her friend. "Gracie don't worry about it. You just have to rest for 2 weeks and after that you can start doing thing again. Give your body some time to rest and heal. You'll be happy you did later. I promise you." Grace nodded against Hannah's shoulder. "Okay. I'll try to enjoy it a little bit more.
