What Not to Do With your Stories + Other Randomness

I don't know if it is just me, but have you guys noticed the amount of oblivious characters there are in some books?

i.e.

Mrs. Simmons noticed the severed arm in her yard. Her eyes bulged from her sockets and she screamed, "oh my goodness, Martha! There's an arm in my yard!"

Woman. If there's an arm in your yard you should probably call the police.

She smiles at him and places a chaste kiss on his cheek. "Hey, darling."

Matt turns away from his video game for two seconds, "what-huh?"

Matt! She obviously likes you and you don't even give her the time of day.

"Cecily!" He screamed.

Cecily jumped away from the mysterious man, "I-it isn't what it look like, I promise!" she stammered and wiped her hands on her jeans.

"Okay. Go back to doing whatever you were doing." Boy turned around and walked away.

I don't know if you realize this or not, but I think Cecily may be (there's a tiny chance) cheating on you.
