Emotions are both wonderful & horrible at the same time. Why? Because just like descriptions, they can make or break a book. It's obvious that the best books are the ones that make you, the reader, feel something.

Emotions are essential to a story, and you have to make sure to use them.

If you don't have enough, your character can feel like a two-dimensional character or even one dimensional.

At the same time, you don't want to have only emotions and next to no description.

Yesterday, I was reading two books. One was so incredible amazing it made me bawl one second, and psychotically laugh the next.

A couple days ago, I was reading another book. Now, it was really good up to the middle. After that, the characters seemed really 2-d to me and everything was just all over the place.

*A writer doesn't need to feel that certain emotion while writing, but they must be able to convey it through their writing. Think about an actor

*Often times, emotions will pull somebody into a book

Overall, emotions are a huge part of a story.
