Chapter 16: right here waiting

Tyrelle's POV

"God, i'm in love with you Joey." Those words were not just came from my mouth but also came from my heart. That very moment i knew i needed to tell her that i love her. Alam ko masyadong maaga para sa salitang MAHAL pero iyon talaga ang nararamdaman ko.

I fell in love before once, with my ex girlfriend. Minsan ko lang maramdaman ang ganitong pakiramdam at hinding hindi ako maaring magkamali sa nararamdaman ko.

Hindi ako madaling ma attract sa isang tao. Ang katunayan nga ay kababata ko pa si Tosca noon at matagal kaming magkakilala bago ko naramdaman itong nararamdaman ko ngayon para kay Joey. These two cases are totally different. It took me years before i realized i'm in love with Tosca, but in Joey's case, i fell for her too quick that i'm afraid i might end up getting hurt because everything was like a snap.

Iba ako magmahal eh, lahat ibibigay ko para sa taong nagpapatibok ng maselan kong puso. And when Tosca and i broke up hindi na muling tumibok ang puso, not until i met Joey. Of course i moved on way before pa pero hindi ko pa rin magawang magkagusto sa iba. Pero ngayong nararamdaman ko na muli ang masayang feeling nang in love ay hindi na ako magpapaligoy ligoy pa. I want Joey to be mine. I want her all for my self.

Hindi naman ako nabigo sa reaksyon ni Joey ng sabihin ko iyong mga salitang iyon sa kanya kanina. Yes, she did not say she love me too but her genuine smile is enough for me to held on to something. I know someday she will say those words to me too.

After that night at the Bar ay hinatid ko muna si Joey sa kanila at umuwi na rin ako. Nang makarating ako sa condo ay nagulat ako ng madatnan na bukas ang guess room. Siguro ay narito sina mommy at daddy, hindi na siguro nila ako nahintay dahil madaing araw na rin. I took a quick shower and sleep.

When i woke up, the smell of fresh juice lingered on me. Agad agad akong tumayo at lumabas ng kwarto ko. I saw mom preparing breakfast and dad was on the table sipping his cup of coffee. Lumapit ako sa kanila para halikan sila sa pisngi.

"Mama, Papa, what brought you guys here?" Pinaupo ako ni Mama at sinerve niya ang niluto niya.

"Are you not happy to see us?" Panunuya ni Mama sa akin.

"Of course i'm happy."

"After your breakfast, go fix your things and we will catch a flight later this afternoon." Hindi na ako nagulat sa sinabi ni Daddy dahil nalaman ko nang aalis kami mula kay Elvis. But i didn't expect it would be today.

"You're not busy anymore? Saan tayo pupunta?" Tanong ko.

"Your Ate just gave birth to a healthy baby boy and we need to see your nephew!" Excited na sabi ni Mama. "We'll be there for two weeks until the christening."

"Two weeks?!!" Halos mapatalon si Mama sa lakas ng pagkakasabi ko. Two weeks? Masyado naman yatang matagal iyon. Kung kelan nagiging okay na ang lahat sa amin ni Joey ay ngayon pa kami hindi magkikita for two weeks.

"What's wrong Ty? We cleared our scheduled just to be with you and your Ate." Malambing na sabi ni Mama but i know she's just manipulating me again. She's good at it. She's good at manipulating people. Kahit ang ate ko ay napaikot niya at naipakasal niya sa taong hindi naman niya mahal.

"Can i just stay for at least a week? Two weeks is too much Ma." Pagdadahilan ko. Nilingon ko si Papa para humingi ng tulong sa kanya pero umiling lamang ito.

"No Tyrelle Jess. You will be there with us. Vacation is almost over and classes will start soon. You'll be busy, ganoon din kami ng Papa mo. Two weeks is really too much, lalo na para sa amin na may hinahawakang negosyo kaya wala kang maidadahilan para hindi manatili ng dalawang linggo." I rolled my eyes at her and she snapped. "Don't rolled your eyes on me Tyrelle!"
