Adira squealed happily when Mitch came into her room. The small tenor smiled at her gently, happy to have her home after three months. His doctor said that it was normal for males to have their babies earlier than expected, but having the baby at six months is a rare occurrence. It was usually around the end of seven months. Adira is healthy now and Mitch cannot be anymore grateful.

"Hey, pretty girl," Mitch whispered, pinking her up gently. Adira smiled up at him, her blue-grey eyes shining brightly. "We are going to the store today so we can find you a dress for mine and Daddy's wedding. You're going to be the flower girl."

Adira had not idea what Mitch was talking about, but she squealed once more and pulled at her mommy's hair. Mitch flinched a bit but smiled nonetheless. Evan did that a lot before and during his abuse.

"Let's go downstairs," Mitch told Adira, kissing her gently. "Daddy and Uncle Scotty are down there."

It seemed like Scott heard his name or something because he came running to the bottom of the stairs, holding his arms out. Mitch smiled and gave his daughter to Scott, loving how kind his friend was to her.

"Hey, baby girl," Scott murmured, playing with her fingers. The three month old grabbed one of Scott's fingers and looked at it strangely. "That's my finger. We all have them. Your fingers are adorable. Yes they are!"

Adira smiled up at her uncle, which warmed up Mitch's heart. Scott held Adira for a bit longer until his phone beeped. He gave Mitch his daughter back and unlocked his phone, smiling at the text.

"Avi already got his suit. You two are going to look amazing," Scott replied, smiling at Mitch. "Are you still going to wear a wedding dress?"

"Of course! Veil and all," Mitch answered, wanting to pick out a dress that fitted his personality greatly. "I want a one that's not too much but not too little, you know? I just want one that screams 'me'."

Scott smiled a bit as he looked at his friend. Nine months ago, Mitch was scared and afraid of touch. He closed himself off from everybody and rarely slept. When Avi came along, Mitch opened up. He is happy again and Scott loved that. Avi is the reason why Mitch is confident again and not afraid to stand up for himself.

Avi is the reason why Mitch isn't distant anymore.

~~~
Avi smiled at his suit, straightening it out a bit. He can't wait for the wedding to come. Adira is going to be the cute little flower girl and Mitch will wear a gorgeous wedding dress. Mitch claimed he wanted because 'gender should not matter when it comes to formal wear'. Avi smiled to himself and was about to go into his car whine someone stopped him. He jumped slightly and turned around, taking a sigh of relief when there was only a teenager behind him. He smiled at her, straightening his shirt.
"How may I help you?" Avi asked politely, putting his suit in the car. He turned back to the teenager, smiling kindly. The teenager looked scared for so reason and that made Avi frown. "What's wrong?"
"There was some man that was following you. I just wanted you to know," the teenager informed Avi, noticing how the bass seemed to tense. "I talked to him. He asked if I knew who Mitch Grassi was. I said no, but by the looks of it, that Mitch person looks very important to you."
"He's my fiancée. Thanks for telling me."
Avi jumped into his car, driving fast. Evan could hurt Mitch and Adira. He can't let anything happen to them. He just can't.
~~~

Scott sang some silly songs to Adira while Mitch slept. Scott always volunteered to take care of Adira when Avi and Mitch are asleep because he knew how tired they got. He's not complaining though. He loves sweet Adira.

"You are so beautiful, Ad," Scott whispered, kissing Adira's forehead. She closed her eyes, tired already. "Let's take you to bed, little cutie."

Scott was about to take her into the room when Avi came running in, tux in hand. He got into Scott's way, breathing heavily. He got his breathing under control, looking at Scott seriously.

"Evan was stalking me," Avi admitted. Scott widened his eyes as he held onto Adira. "Some teenager told me if I knew Mitch. Scott, he's going to hurt our kid."

"Not if I get involved," Scott spoke in a soft voice, looking at Adira. "She's so sweet. Anyways, don't worry. I'll save the day."

"I hope you're right," Avi replied, wanting to get his daughter. Scott nodded as he handed her to Avi carefully. "Hi, sweetie. Is Mommy asleep?"

At that moment, Mitch woke up. He rubbed his eyes and sat up, smiling at Avi. He got off the couch and walked up to his fiancée, smiling at Adira. He kissed his daughter's forehead and looked at Avi. They shared a quick kiss, staring at each other lovingly."

"I can't wait to get married to you."

"I can't wait to get married to you, too."

~~~
It was late at night when Adira began to cry. Avi didn't feel comfortable when her sleeping in her room by herself so he managed to get the crib and put it in his and Mitch's room. Mitch got up and stretched, standing up to put Adira back to sleep. He picked her up, shushing her quietly.
"It's okay, baby," Mitch whispered, kissing her gently. "It's okay. Go to sleep, hon."
The doorbell then rang, echoing through the dark house. Mitch walked downstairs, Adira in his arms. He opened the door, an officer right in front of him. He nodded his head to let the office talk, wondering why he is here in the early hours of the morning.
"Are you close to an Evan Carmichael?"
Mitch nodded slowly, wondering why he is being asked this.
"Yes, he was my ex-boyfriend. He hurt me. He's the reason why my little baby is here."
The officer nodded as he flipped through some notes. He sighed heavily as he looked at Mitch. The news Mitch heard made him gasp loudly.
"We think that we found Evan's body near the highway. We need you to identify him."
