Chapter 4: interview

Meredith woke up with all the blankets off of her and all rolled up on Finnick, he was one hell of a cover auger. It was about seven in the morning and Meredith got up and went to the kitchen surprised to see that no one was awake yet. She went to get some fruits to eat and sat at the table, it was odd not having Juniper yell at her and Cress to wake up. Looked like she had a tough night has well. Once she was done eating, she made her way to her room to get dressed. She put on some simple black jeans with a blue shirt she found in her closet. She tied her hair into a ponytail and went back out into the kitchen. This time, Juniper, Finnick and Cress where all sitting at the table eating. Meredith made her way to the living room when she got stopped by Juniper

  "Meredith come and eat something" said Juniper

  "I've already eaten" she answered and went to sit down on the couch

It didn't take long for everyone to finish eating and so they made their way to get ready for the interview with Caesar. Juniper went with Cress to get ready has for Finnick, he went with Meredith. Tigris was waiting for her with a while outfit ready and the makeup already placed on the makeup stand. Tigris sat her down and the prep team started to make her look pretty. They put a some white eye shadow and some blue eyeliner with some sparkles. They put blush and all sorts of other things on her. For the hair, they put it un into a braided bun. Once makeup done and all she went Meredith went to put on the dress she was going to wear. It was light blue and it had a bit of a scaly texture at the bottom, like a mermaid. She also had some blue pearl earring and ring. Tigris then gave her some shoes, they where black heals. Meredith never wore heals before, just looking at them she knew that she was going to fall. She put them on it wasn't to hard to stand up with them.

"Go on walk, lets see how you look" said Tigris delighted with the outfit she created.

Meredith started to walk, she found it extremely difficult, she wasn't able to walk in a straight line without wabiling like a weirdo who can't walk.

"I can't wear these" Meredith took off the shoes "I could barely walk and it hurts my feet"

"Oh come on dear, you need the shoes to complete the outfit, it just for a little moment, you'll be sitting most of the time anyway" Tigris said giving her back the shoes

Meredith really didn't want to put them back on but she didn't really have any other choice. Meredith walked out of the makeup room with Tigris and Finnick. They where standing in line with the other tributes waiting to go up on stage. Meredith was happy that she wasn't the first one to go up and talk to caesar.

"How are you feeling Meredith, not to nervous?" Whispered Finnick

"No, I think I'm okay" she answered bitting her lip

"All you need to do is smile and make people like you and laugh at whatever boring joke Caesar makes, I promise it will go well"

Finnick put his hand on Meredith's shoulder and she pulled him into a hug. The line of tributes started to move and they both pulled away. She waited in line for not long, Cress had just gone on stage and Meredith was about to go on. She felt the nerves rise up to her stomach. She took a couple of deep breaths trying to calm herself down.

"If it makes you feel any better just pretend your talking to me" Finnick said to her

She smile a little but it soon faded when Cress walked off the stage. Finnick nodded at her telling her she would be fine. She was soon called to the stage. She walked up trying not to fall because of the heals and was blinded by all of the bright lights. Once able to see again, she was overwhelmed by all the people in the crowed

"Just smile and wave and pretend you happy" Meredith thought to herself

So that was what she did, she put a big smile on her face and waved to the audience. She went to sit down next to Caesar with the biggest smile and shook his hand.
