Agad akong nagtungo sa basement ng mansion upang makita ang taong hinahanap ko. Yes. Yung mansion na pinuntahan ko when my father went here. The men in black suits bowed at me as soon I reached the door.

"Is he inside?"

"Yes, young lady." He replied.

I opened the door and found the guy sitting on the center of the room with his hands and feet tied. I looked at the other men inside.

"Leave me here alone . . with this guy." Tumango sila bago sabay-sabay na umalis.

The door shut closed.

I looked intently at the guy sitting on the wooden chair. He was facing down the floor. Bakas ang pasa at sugat nito sa buong katawan. Mayroon din itong bahid ng mga natuyong dugo sa balat.

You couldn't hear anything aside from the guy's breathing. He groaned in pain. Tila ba nagpupumilit itong kumalag dahil sa mahigpit na pagkakatali ng lubid sa kanyang mga kamay at paa.

"Who are you?" I said in a cold voice. I went near him habang tumingin lang sa akin ang lalaki as he spit out the blood on his mouth.

Tumingin ito sa akin at ngumisi. "Ikaw? Sino ka ba?"

I looked at him grimly at tumalikod. "Who sent you?"

One.

Two.

Three.

"Bakit ko sasabihin?" Mayabang na tanong nito sa akin.

I cocked my head on the side at muling hunarap sa lalaki. I slided my hand inside my jacket and the metal hit my hand.

A gun.

"I asked you. Now, tell me." I slipped it out at pinaikot sa kanang kamay ko while my other hand was still on my jacket's pocket.

I saw how the man cleared his throat the moment he saw what I was holding. I saw how his sweat went down through his face. I saw how he blinked several times before he masked the nervousness he was feeling moments ago and replaced it with a sarcastic grin.

"Speak." I said slowly but deadly.

Nanatili itong walang imik habang nakatingin sa akin. Hindi ko alam kung bakit nakukuha parin niyang ngumiti gayong alam kong natatakot na siya dahil sa nanginginig niyang mga tuhod at labi.

"D-Di ko alam." He uttered.
