That Infamous Girl

Wala na akong nagawa ng hatakin ako ni Van papunta ng gym. I was surprised when I heard some girls calling him as we walked. Ngumiti lang naman ito at kumaway.

I rolled my eyes. Why are these girls swooning over this guy? Kahit nasa gym na kami may napapalingon pa rin. Why didn't I notice this before? Nevermind.

"Nakita ko yun!" He chuckled. He winked at me. "Wag ka magselos, princess. Ikaw lang sapat na." He added and wiggled his eyebrows. What he said sounds stupid and.. crazy. But damn. Umiwas ako ng tingin.

Bakit kasi ang ganda ng mata ng lalaking 'to? Every time na tumitingin ako sa kanya, pakiramdam ko hinihila ako nito. There was just something about his gray eyes that pulls you closer to him.

"Selos my face." I snorted. He kept on talking beside me while I gave him casual nods and death glares in return. Kanina pa ko kinukulit. He kept on pinching my nose like what the hell?

But he only stopped when someone cleared her throat in front. A woman to be exact and the talking begins..

After almost two hours of sitting and yawning, isa lang ang masasabi ko.

Boring.

I can't believe we wasted so much time listening to that announcement. Yes. I listened. Plus. I can't believe I'm really doing this.

Kasali na talaga ko.

Fuck my life.

Someone asked the person in front if he could back out but Mrs. Gontrego, the vice president replied. "It's either you join this or get kicked out."

The latter is really an.. option. I don't really care if I get kicked out, but for some unknown reason. I don't want that to happen.

I even thought of pulling some strings, but, my instincts tells me to not do that.  I heaved out a sigh.

I learned just a few minutes ago that next week, the university will be celebrating this annual foundation event. Magtatagal ito ng one week and that means walang klase. Magkakaroon din kasi ng booths and rides. Here's what I heard based from what the school's vice president said a little earlier.

"First day, mag-aayos ang lahat for booths and each section is required to have one. Second day, dito na mags-start ang contests for vocal solo, duet, battle of the bands and other literary competition. Third and fourth day, sports fest. Obvious naman na lahat ng sports kasali dito. Sa hapon din ng fourth day gaganapin ang pageant. So you still have lots of time to get ready." Huminga muna ito bago muling nagsalita.

"I'm counting on you guys because you'll be this year's highlight. Wag niyo sana biguin ang students and us. Even if this is a competition, treat each other as friends. Ayoko ng magkakagulo just because of a petty little fight among you." She said as she scanned each one of us, eyes to eyes.
