"What's that?"

Agad akong napalingon sa likod ko. Nakatayo ang kapatid ko hindi kalayuan sa pwesto ko. Pasimple kong itinago ang metal coin sa bulsa ng uniform ko.

"Ito ba?" I asked and raised the bullet I got from the floor earlier. Lumapit siya sa akin at kinuha ang balang hawak ko. He moved it and leveled on his eyesight.

"Dragon." He muttered. Tumingin ito sa akin ng seryoso. Itinaas ko lang naman ang kilay ko at naghintay sa susunod na sasabihin niya.

"Dragon Mafia." He stated while looking at the bullet with the dragon logo.

Unconsciously, I cleared my throat. He knows something about them. He is aware of the existence of the mafia. I furrowed my eyebrows and pretended to be confused.

"What?" I said. Tumingin ito sa akin at parang natauhan sa kanyang sinabi.

"Nothing." He replied. "Tara na?" Ngumiti ito habang nakita kong itinago niya sa bulsa ang hawak na bala.

Tumingin muna ako sa coffee shop tapos pabalik sa kanya. "How about that?" I said while pointing towards it.

"I already called someone to fix that." He answered. Tumango lang ako bilang sagot sa sinabi niya.

The whole time I was driving back to our place, we were both silent. No one dared to speak. Surprisingly, he never brought up the topic earlier and he didn't mention anything about that incident.

It was like as if it never happened.

Nang makarating kami sa loob ng unit ay agad akong sumalampak sa couch samantalang siya ay umakyat sa taas. My arms were stretched above the couch. I put my feet above the center table.

I closed my eyes and started to think.

What am I doing with my life? I let out a sarcastic snort.

Life? I don't have a life.

Everyone's getting involved which isn't good. I also became too careless about my actions.

It wasn't as complicated as this before.

Bigla kong naalala ang mga letrang nabasa ko kanina.
