27: Death

Keita's POV:

"..." All of us were silent. "This is bull!" Shadow blurted out. "Why are we sitting here all depressed? Yeah, Sensei is dead, but should we really dwell on the sadness forever?!" She started yelling. "Shadow..." I said. "Shadow, you're making it worse..." Kyoko said, holding back her tears. She was hugging Shinshi. "I only knew him for a week or two... He was a good guy." Shinshi said. "I'm done with this!" Shadow said running away. "Shadow- Sigh..." I sighed. "Just leave her be... She's the most aggravated and sad one here." Crystal said. "I'm going after her." I said. Then someone grabbed my hand. "Just... Don't..." Aurora said. "Sigh... Alright then." I said.

An hour later, Shadow's POV:

"F******CK!!!" I shouted from my cave, breaking stuff. I tore up a lot of drawings, including the most memorable one. I fell to my knees. "Hah...hah..." I was exhausted from all of my yelling. *Knock knock!* "What do you want?!" I said. "Can I come in?" It was Keita. "...I dunno..." I said. "Listen, we know that you don't want to see us upset, but we can't help it." He said. "..." I stayed silent. He was right... But... I can't take any deaths anymore.

Flashback: 10 years ago...

"Listen Shadow! Get out of here!" My mom said, tears falling down her face. "No! Why should I?!" I cried. "Listen! Ru-" *STAB!* My mom fell to the ground. "MOOOOM!!!!" I shouted. "Heheh... You're next..." The Gengar that killed my mom said.

"I just can't deal with anymore deaths..." I said. "..." He was silent. "...I know that feeling." He said sitting down and hugging me. "Really?" I asked. "My mom and dad died in an accident when I was seven." I said. "..." I was silent. "And... I had to live with my aunt and uncle." He said. We had more in common than I'd thought!
