36: The Battle

Keita's POV:

"We ready?" I asked. "Actually, are
there rules?" I asked again. "There is one rule, don't kill each other." Crystal said. I was standing across from Shade. "Yep, we're ready!" Shade and I said. "3... 2... 1... FIGHT!" Crystal shouted. 'I need to think of his types, and the right moves to use...' I thought. 'This is bad, he has a type that I'm weak to, I think.' I thought. "TAKE THIS!" Balls of shadows flew at me, and I dodged just in time. "Really?" I said. "That's all you've got? HAH!" I said laughing. "Just you wait..." He said.

Shadow's POV:

"Hm..." I said, watching the battle. 'Why is he laughing? I mean, Shade is a ghost and poison type Pokemon.' I thought. I just hope that they don't accidentally kill each other. "Shadow?" Shinshi asked me. "Yes?" I replied. "You're worried about Keita, aren't you?" He asked. "You could tell?" I said. "Yes. This may or may not work out in Keita's favor." He said. "That's what I was thinking. Shade is a tough opponent, at least, he seems tough." I said. "I've fought him before, along with Flare. He is a formidable opponent." He said. "I thought so." I said.

Keita's POV:

"Take that!" I said. "H-he dodged it?!" I said. "Agh!" He snuck up and punched me in the back. 'He becomes a shadow?- no, more like he goes into ones shadow-' my train of thought was interrupted by another punch to the back. "Hah! Not so fast now-" I punched him tons of times as I shifted positions around him. He was surprisingly intelligent and fast, he blocked most of the punches. Our speed was matched! "Heh." He said. 'I need to think of a plan, and fast!' I said. 'There's no rules huh?' I thought. That's when it hit me. I'm going to use that move Sensei taught me.
