Chapter 18

Victoire Weasley

Remus, when he woke up, tried to shift to be more comfortable, but immediately cried out in pain. Madam Pomfrey rushed to his side and forced a sequence of 5 or 6 potions down his throat. He whimpered slightly but didn't put up a fight. As soon as she was done, and moved away from the bed towards Victoire, and James and Sirius quickly flanked to his side.

"Hey Moony." Sirius said softly "How are you feeling?"

"That-" Remus croaked out "was one of the worst full moons I have ever felt."

"Um- Remus?" James said softly

"Y- yeah?" Remus stuttered

"We- uh, we have to tell you something."

"Wait!" Victoire cried out. She winced at the pain cause when she lurched for the neighbouring bed.

"Vic-" Teddy cautioned her. She ignored him and reached out to the other boys.

"It's my story. Let me tell it." She begged.

Victoire could see the reluctance in their eyes. Of course the two thought they should be the ones to tell him. They had known him since they were 11, they knew about his lycanthropy and all his sensitivities about it, they didn't even know the extent of Victoire and Teddy's relationship with the boy. Even if they didn't know it, Victoire had never even been alive at the same time as him, she'd been born 3 months later.

"Please." They finally nodded.

She took a deep breath and Teddy helped her sit up and faced Remus in the bed beside her. She kept her damaged leg out in front of her and gently rested it on a pillow stacked on a chair.

"What happened to you?" Remus' face was riddled with worry and anxiety, lightly masked with exhaustion and a few new scars.

"I had a rough full moon as well." She took a deep breath to compose her thoughts and what she was going to say. "First of all, I know you're a werewolf." Remus opened his mouth to protest but she cut him off. "I'll explain how later. That's not important to my story. Anyways, when school let out for the term,I decided I would go home, and I found a spell that would do that for me.

"When I performed the spell, it didn't work as well as it was meant to. It took me, how many days Teddy?"

"Seven days." Teddy muttered

"Seven day." Victoire echoed "That's all? I didn't even make it to the new year."

"Victoire," Sirius warned

"Right, sorry." She shook her head and gathered her thoughts. "It took me seven days into the future. Don't interrupt." She warned Remus as he opened his mouth. "When I was walking back from the Hogsmeade train station, I encountered something. A werewolf... named Fenrir Greyback."

Both James and Sirius opened their mouths to protest but they were silenced by a quick, but venomous glare from Vic. Teddy just stood stone faced beside him. Remus' face was as white as a sheet. The only colour in his face was thin and thick varying lines of previous injuries.

"I- I- but no-" Remus stuttered.

"The only thing I have to tell you is that you'll have a companion with you and the others the next full moon."

"How are you so calm with this?" Remus demanded when he finally found his voice.

"My family has dealt with their fair share of were wolves." Vic said quietly "My father was attacked by Greyback just before he married maman. However it wasn't during the full moon, so he only has wolfish characteristics."

They were all silent for quite sometime.

"What do we do now?"

"We heal."

(A/N: I have no excuse for this taking me so long... I've been lazy. I just got really into my current book and I was desperate to finish it. I'm sorry. I'm actually blowing off homework for this, and that's the reason I made this so short (600 words) but I have to go now, so bye! -Jul)
