The Shy Boy And The Dragon

Chapter 7

As you guys can see I changed the chapter name back to what I usually do. I just can't figure out chapter names so I'm just going to stick with what I know. But I do hope you guys enjoy this chapter!!

I ran my hands through my hair tugging some strands out as I paced up and down my living room. I just couldn't believe what happened. I mean come on! A guy I saved from being basically stratched to death, ended up turning into a dragon, and then told me I'M HIS MATE! At this point I'm surprised that I haven't passed out yet.

"Say something Alex. " I paused passing a look to Nero.

"Say something? What can I say Nero? I just found out that dragons and other supernatural beings are real!!" I yelled picking up my pacing. Oh yeah that was a whole other conversation we had. After Nero dropped the bomb of us being mates he explained how there are others like him. Not only dragons but for every animal we know there's a shifter for it, we'll expect for like bugs and stuff. There are all the different bird species, bug cats, dog breeds, sea creatures, (they can only change if their in the water) and animals from across the globe! I just couldn't believe. But I do have to admit that I think it's pretty cool that these people can change into all those different animals. Plus Nero's dragon was pretty cool looking, completely black that shimmered in the light with blue highlights that frame his face making him look tougher.

"I'm sorry for dropping this on you like I did but I didn't have a choice. I guess I have to get back to the others and I want you to come with me." Nero wrapped his arms around me grabbing my chin forcing me to look up at him. I couldn't help but let my body relax in his hold, I guess it's a mate thing.

"I- I don't know Nero. I don't know anything about where you come from or what I should expect. I mean we just met like 3 days ago!" I attempted to pull myself out of his arms but he was too strong.

"I know Alex. But if you come with me I promise to answer any questions you have and I won't leave your side unless I absolutely have to." I sighed feeling conflicted. I did want to go with Nero but the rational side of me kept saying that I barely know him and for all I know he could be planning to kill me. As I was about to say no to Nero he leaned down kissing me. I gasped in surprise as Nero bit my lip slipping his tongue into my mouth. I couldn't help but moan closing my eyes. My hands traveled up his arms wrapping around Nero's neck as his hands settled on my hips.

"Please Alex come with me. I won't let anything happen to you." Nero whispered when he pulled back. I kept my eyes closed as I nodded my head. What in the world am I doing? God I hope this doesn't come back to bite me in the butt. I had to fight back the urge to smile as I heard Nero sigh in relief.

"Thank the Gods." He mumbled pressing his lips against mine again.

"But only on one condition." I whispered as I pulled back.

"Anything Alex."

"There better be a library there." I opened my eyes as Nero let out a booming laugh.

"Don't worry we have a huge library." He chuckled making me smile.

"Good." For some reason this felt like the best thing in the world I could have done.
