Chapter 7: Boiling Point

Renesmee's POV

One second I'm in Jake's lap the next I'm on my feet and Jake's being hurled across the forest. I look to see who did this.

"Daddy?" I say shocked.

Its like he doesn't hear me, he's going after Jake again before I can even blink. This time Jake doesn't get up, this unfreeze's me and I run over to him before Daddy can throw him again.

"Stop" I yell at him before he's able to throw him again. "What are you doing!?" I yell.

"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS RENESMEE!?" Dad shouts at me this time.

"EDWARD!" Mom yells arriving at the scene. "Calm down!" she said pulling him away from me and Jake.

I squat down to see if Jake is okay. He has a small gash on his head and a HUGE gash on his leg, I swear I can see bone. I take off my shirt and tie it above his leg where the most blood is coming out. Of course I didn't stop to think that the sight of me in my bra hovering over Jacob is soo not what my dad wants to see right now. But I don't care I need to get him to Grandpa Carlisle, I'm not vampire strong but I'm strong enough to get Jake to Grandpa so he can check out his leg.

"GRANDPA!!" I yell he's there before I can sit Jake down properly.

"What happened?" he asks going into full doctor mode as he starts to examine Jake's injuries.

"Dad attacked him" I said with acid in my voice.

"Why what did he do?" Grandpa asks

"Nothing" I said defensively.

"That's more or less true" Aunt Alice says dancing in the room with a new shirt for me. I put it on without even looking at it.

My eyes never leave Jake's face he was unconscious when I brought him here and he still hasn't woken up.

"Is he going to be ok?" I ask anxiously.

"I-I honestly don't know" Grandpa said. "He should be healing but he's not"

"Is he ok?" I hear Mom ask as she enters the room

"Grandpa doesn't know his healing process is taking too long" I said my eyes filling with tears. "Were is your husband?" I ask anger clearly showing in my voice.

"I took him home. Renesmee you have to understand-" she starts but I cut her off

"I really don't want to hear it mom at least not now. If and when Jake wakes up then we can talk"
