Elizabeth was dressed and down the stairs, only to regret it.

She had been avoiding her aunt since she arrived, only speaking to her once.

Kate smiled. "Good morning."
Elizabeth just mumbled and pulled a mug out of the cabinet, pouring herself coffee.
"Headed off to school?"
"Obviously." She answered.

Kate sighed. "I know you aren't the biggest fan of me, El. But maybe we can push past all of the stuff that happened years ago and get to know each other better."

Elizabeth chuckled and swallowed the coffee before replying to her.

"Want to know something?" Elizabeth asked.
Kate waited.
Elizabeth slammed the mug into the sink, causing Kate to jump slightly.

"I'd rather get bitten than forgive you."

Kate's eyebrows lifted in surprise as she walked out the front door, and Argent looked at her.
"She definitely gets her anger from you." Kate said.

Argent shrugged defensively.

Allison and Elizabeth sat together at lunch, and Elizabeth's eyes examined the fliers that were taped to the walls as Scott and Stiles appeared.
"What's wrong?" She heard Allison asked.
"What? Oh - nothing." Scott answered.

Allison looked at her sister. "What are you staring at?"
Elizabeth pulled the flier off of the wall, and Allison's eyes widened.
"No, absolutely not."
"Oh come on, Allison." She said, biting her lip.
"I will not do Cheerleading."

"Fine," Elizabeth said. "I will."
"Why won't you do it?" Scott asked.
"Because Cheerleading involves a bunch of boys staring at you during the whole time."
"Get over yourself," Elizabeth muttered. "You're an Argent."

"It's not my type of activity."
"Nor is it mine, but we'll get more credits."
She sighed. "Fine, I'll do it."

Elizabeth smiled.

When the day was over, Elizabeth walked towards her car, getting in. As she pulled out, she was stuck behind a bunch of waiting cars, all sitting behind the familiar jeep feet ahead.

Honking erupted, and she sighed before getting out of the car. She focused her eyes on the tall and muscular figure that lay on the ground before the jeep, and Scott ducked down to help him up.

She could see the blood flowing down his fingers, and glowing eyes that appeared, and she swallowed.

He was one of them.

She ran past the cars, catching up to the jeep. "What the hell happened?"
"Um, just taking him home." Stiles said as Derek sat there weakly. His eyes met Elizabeth's, and she felt her chest cave.

She could see the wound, and she noticed the bullet that she'd recognized when Kate arrived.
"Get him out of here." She demanded to Stiles. He rose a brow, but nodded before pulling away.

She felt her head spin as she drove home, and she walked inside to see Kate and Argent in the kitchen.
"You." She snapped, stomping through the house. "Did you shoot him?"
"Shoot who?" Kate asked.
"The tall guy with the dark hair and muscles - It was your bullet!"

"You must mean Derek Hale, the free and mysterious murderer, Derek Hale."
"I don't care what he did, or if he even did it. You shot him!"
"He's a free walking killer, Elizabeth."

"I don't believe that." She said, rubbing her face with her shaking hands. "Do you realize that he was at the school today?"
"He was?"
"I don't want to know why, but he was there. And he looked terrible."

"I don't have time for this." Kate sighed. "We're getting groceries, remember, Chris?"
Argent exhaled before looking at Elizabeth. "I'll take care of this. Stay here, we'll be back soon."
"None of this is okay." She muttered as the two left. She sank down onto the couch in the living room, and sighed.

Kate had been in town for a week, and she was already doing what she does best.

And she knew one thing.

Derek Hale was a werewolf.
