Mark's POV.

The two guys sat me on the back of the ambulance. Cleaned my busted lip, and went to grab something. One of the officers came up to me and started to talk.

"Excuse me sir, my name is sergeant Blake. I'd like to ask you a few questions about what happened here tonight. Is that okay?"

"Um, okay..." I answered.

"Thank you. Okay, first, do you know the suspect?"

"Uh. Yeah. Luke King."

"How do you know him?"

"I know him from a different incident a few weeks ago he had with a woman."

"What is the woman's name?"

"Sophia Cena. I got her out of that room before he came busting through the door. Wh-where is she? Did you find her yet? He's after her! You can't just leave her out there alone!"

"We know where she is. Ms. Cena is safe with the other officers. King is in custody. Calm down Mr. Fischbach."

"What? She's here? Where? I want to talk to her."

"Sir, please. Just a few more questions and I can let you go."

"No! I want to talk to Sophia! Now!" I got up and pushed my way past the officer. He grabbed me and sat me back down onto the back of the ambulance.

"You are in no state to just be walking around right now. I'll finish up the questions later if that's okay with you. Lieutenant Parker! You can bring the young lady over now."

The officer walked away from me and the guy brought Sophia to where I was. He also walked off and Sophia was standing in front of me in her army uniform. She suddenly hugged me and I grunted in pain. Turns out I had a few broken ribs and a bruised part of my spine.

"I'm sorry." Sophia said. "Are you okay? Your lip is busted!"

"So are a few of my ribs. But yeah, I'm fine. That's not important. Are you okay Phi?"

"Yeah. Don't tell me your well being isn't important. You, had me scared sick! Don't you pull a stunt like that on me ever again Mark. If you're ever in another situation like that, I am not going to leave you there."

"Whatever you say boss. So I'm taking that as you're not running from me this time?"

"I wasn't running from you to begin with. I'm sorry about it though. I shouldn't have gone off like that. You were trying to help. I know what you meant when you said I was like you. And I am. A lot like you."

"I was just there to help you out. I didn't know you didn't want me to. I'm just happy you're okay. That guy hits like a bitch."

Sophia smiled hugged me again. I hugged her back. I was the happiest person in the world at that moment. I saw an officer walk up and I let go of Phi. He said there was two people who wanted to see me. I looked over and Wade and Molly standing by the patrol car. I motioned them over and they came to talk to me.

"Holy hell Mark! You look like shit!" Wade said.

Molly slapped his arm. "Hey Mark. Are you okay? They told us you had broken ribs and a busted lip. You look like you're in a lot of pain."

"No, I'm okay. Thanks. Why are you guys here?"

"To see you. I got a call from somebody saying you got hurt. Scared the hell out of Molly."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever Wade. Don't act like you don't care about me you douche."

"Alright! Okay! Scared me a bit too. You okay to go home?"

Sophia looked at the EMT and he said I was okay to leave. They first wrapped up my ribcage and gave me some pain medicine. Then Wade took me home. Molly took my car and Sophia went with her. We went up to my apartment and I sat on the couch. After a while, Wade and Molly left since it was 11:30pm and it was late. Phi sat next to me and kissed my forehead. I smiled and she laughed. She curled up next to me and turned on the TV.

I must have fell asleep, because when I woke up and it was almost eleven in the morning. I was covered up with a comforter and had a pillow. I sat up and put on my glasses and looked around. It was raining outside when I looked out the window.

Sophia's POV.

I got dressed in a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt. I heard Mark wake up and went into the living room. He was looking out the window, at the rain.

"Hey Mark. What're you doing?"

"Uh, nothing really. Looking outside. What are you doing?" He said.

"Nothing. Just on the computer in my room." I had left my apartment and moved into Mark's now that all my stuff was there anyways.

"Oh. Okay then." He looked around.

"Something wrong Mark? Why are you looking around so much?"

"I, I don't know. I do that a lot. But there's no reason for it." Mark walked over to me.

He gave me a hug and sat on the chair at the kitchen counter. He looked better than last night. His lip was healing up a little and the wrap on his midsection, seemed to take some of the edge of the pain of his two broken ribs. He didn't have any damage on his face or arms. But his stomach, chest, and ribs were bruised and busted up. I hated to see him like that. He got up and went into the hallway.

"Why is my shirt in the laundry and not on me?" He asked.

"Because it had blood all over it. If you're going to complain, go get a clean one. Or here." I threw Mark's sweatshirt at him. "Wear that. How did you not notice you weren't wearing a shirt?"

"I... Don't know. I seriously just noticed I had no shirt." He said. "Screw it. I'll get a shirt later. Unless my awesome upper-body is too much for you to handle." He laughed. But only for a second because it hurt him when he did.

"I think I'll deal, thanks for the concern. You and your shirtless self can do whatever you want. I wouldn't be surprised with anything."

"Whatever. You're just encouraging it because you like it. You know you do."

"Whatever helps you sleep at night, Mark."

"Ha! That wasn't a no! You like it when I don't have on a shirt! Caught! Red handed!"

Mark pranced into my room and started making a joke about it. He got in my face and kept trying to convince me to tell him what he wanted to hear. I shoved him and he stumbled backwards. He soon regained his balance and resumed his joking.

"You like the shirtless Mark, don't you? You know you do! Quit hiding it! I see it in your face! Enjoy the fact I have no shirt on! Haha! You know you want this! Take the chance you have. Stare... Stare at what is, The Shirtless Mark Fischbach!"

I kept telling him to get out of my way. But he still tried to tease me about it. He stopped for a split second and thought.

"You know what?" He said. "If you won't take the chance, I will."

"What chance would that be? The chance that I'll punch you in the face, Mark?"

"No," He walked up to me and smiled. "That's the exact opposite of what I'm thinking. You want to know?"

"The exact opposite? What's the exact opposite?"

Mark looked at me, almost nervously. I realized what he was thinking at that moment. He took me by the waist and pulled me toward him. He smiled and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I was the happiest person ever. I thought it was going to be like the last time. When it only lasted a second or two. But this time was different. He didn't seem to care. I didn't care either. We stayed there, for what felt like forever. The best time of my entire life. I will admit that much.

"Markiplier! Loving brother of mine! Where the hell are you?!"

Mark pulled away. "Dammit. That's my brother Tom. This wasn't just nothing though. I was being serious." That made me smile. He grabbed his sweatshirt and put it on. Then ran out of my room and into the living room.

"Hey TwoKinds! No time for Internet names. How are you?"

I walked into the living room and saw Tom and Mark talking. Tom looked at me with a surprised expression on his face.

"Who's this?" He smiled. "Does my little brother have a girlfriend now?" Tom was being sarcastic and saw Mark's face grow red. "I'm joking, kid! Quit being embarrassed!"

Mark started talking. "Tom, this is my room mate, Sophia. Phi, this is my brother Tom."

"Hi Tom." I said.

"When did you move into Mark's place? I was here a few months ago. I didn't see anyone else living in this apartment but him."

"She moved in about three months ago or so Tom. From New York City, actually. She's 22. Lives in the guest room I had. I met her a few times when I was traveling to comic cons and things like that up there. Phi was actually going through family stuff and I offered her a place to stay." Mark was lying, trying to avoid a long story.

"Oh cool! Well, I'm Mark's older brother Tom. I live a few miles away from here. Nice to meet you though, Sophia!"

"Nice to meet you too, Tom." I said.

"Uh, so TwoKinds." Mark said. "What made you decide to come into my apartment?"

"Oh! I needed to know if you still had that anime skit I was working on. I wanted to get back to it."

"Yeah, I still have it. I'll go to my room and grab it." Mark walked into his room to find it.

"What's with Mark calling you TwoKinds?" I asked.

"Oh! Well I have this thing on the Internet where I do anime drawings and cartoon skits about it. My profile is TwoKinds. Mark and I will sometimes call each other by our names on the Internet. I'll call him Markiplier and he'll call me TwoKinds. Did he ever tell you he had a YouTube channel?"

"Um, yeah he did. And that he plays computer games and does charity events on Twitch once a month."

"Nice! Do you play any games yourself?"

"Yeah, I do. All the time! I have a gaming computer in my room. Along with a couple game consoles. An X Box and a Playstation."

"Really? I don't take you for much of a gamer."

"Yeah, I know. I get that a lot."

Mark came out of his room and gave a flash drive to Tom.

"It's on this. I have a backup too incase you lose it." Mark sounded in pain.

"What's wrong Mark?" Tom asked. "You okay? Your lip is busted. You don't look so good."

"Oh it's nothing. Just me being stupid, like when we were kids. You know the rest. I was being an idiot a busted my lip. But I'm fine Tom."

"Okay I guess. Just text me if you need anything buddy. Again, nice meeting you Sophia! Keep my little brother out of trouble for me, will ya?"

"Sure thing Tom. Nice meeting you too!" I smiled.

Mark gave him a hug and bade him goodbye. Tom left and Mark fell on the floor to his knees. Holding his ribcage.

"Mark?! Are you okay? What's wrong?" I ran over and sat next him.

"Holy balls. I should really not try to dig through my room with two broken ribs. That does not feel so nice."

"Hey, you're okay. Come on big guy. Let's get you up off the floor."

I took Mark's arm and put it around my shoulder. I used his leverage to stand him up. He was heavy! I walked him to the couch and sat him down.

"Are you okay Mark?"

"Yeah. Sorry about that. That was not fun. I need to start thinking more though. But I'm fine, thanks."

"Okay. You sure you're fine though?"

"Yeah, yeah. I-I'm good. Don't worry about it. I did this when I was a kid too. I broke my arm once when I was about thirteen or fourteen. And when I got the cast off, I tried to bounce back too fast. I'm okay Phi."

"Alright. Don't try to strain yourself there. Don't want you to get hurt again."

"I know. Not trying to get hurt here. Cut me some slack."

Mark got up and walked over to where I was, sitting at the kitchen counter. He stood in front of me and smiled.

"Okay, where was I?" He held my waist and I hopped out of the chair. He kissed me again. The same as before.

I was so happy to be in his arms. Pure perfection. I wouldn't trade that moment for the entire world if I had the choice. Absolutely nothing could replace it. There was far too much to love about that moment. Everything about it made me smile even more at the thought. Mark took my hand and lead me to the couch. I felt him move closer to me until there was no space between us. I didn't know what he was doing, but I didn't let it happen. I pulled away from him.

"Hold on. Are we sure this is a good idea? I don't want to do anything we shouldn't."

"What? I wasn't planning on doing anything weird. What do you mean by asking if this is a good idea?"

"Where was this supposed to go? Was it real or just-"

"I thought it was pretty real. I don't know where it was supposed to go, but I was hoping to at least escape the eternal friend zone. A shot in the dark, but I wanted to give relationship a try. I didn't know you thought it was fake."

"I never thought it was fake. I honestly thought it was too good to be true. Fortunately, I like the idea of the chance of a relationship." Mark smiled. "If that's what you still wanted." I loved the idea of being called his.

I didn't want anything else more in the world than to be loved by Markiplier. I was really happy to know that he wanted to be mine, and I wanted to be his too.
