His brown hair was a little long and fell in front of his striking green eyes.

His muscular arms were now fiddling with the strap of his bag.

"You. Are. So. Stupid." He says.
He must be around my age.

Why do you care? I scold, trying to focus on taking deep breaths.

Once my ragged breath calms down he slips the mask off.

"Who are you?" I demand.

"Do I hear a 'thank you' for saving you?" He chuckles.

I huff,"You didn't not save me!" I huff.
His lips stretch into a grin."I think stopping someone from hyperventilating and breathlessness counts as 'saving'."

I shake my head."I would have been fine."

"You were about to faint." He scoffs."Besides you wouldn't have been able to find your Grandmother alone."

My ears perked up,"Do you know my grandmother? Have you seen her?"
He shrugs and walks ahead.

"How are you even alive out here?!" I ask.

"Ahhh," he smiles,"Some would say luck, I say skill."

"Where are you going?" I ask, following him.

He turns around,"Me? I'm taking you back to your safety bubble." He says, turning around.

I freeze with apprehension,"No."

He gives me an incredulous look.

"First you 'save me', then you mention my grandmother and know you want to send me back." I snap.

"So you accept that I saved you?"

"No."

"Is that all you say 'no, no and no'?" he asks.

"No."

"See?" he says, smacking his forehead.
He continues to trudge ahead.

"Please?" I beg.

I never beg.

I've never actually had a choice.

"Never should have mentioned Samantha" He says.

Samantha.

Grandma.

"That means you do know her." I say.

"Never said that I didn't." he shrugs.

I am on the verge of hitting him. "Take me to her."

"No."

"I-I can't go back." I stammer.

"Why not?" He runs his hands through his hair."You have two options-one, I show you the way back or two, I knock you out and take you back. And knocking you out is starting to sound delightful."

"Please?"

He points a finger at me,"No matter what you say, pretty girl, I'm sending you back."

Pretty girl?

"I won't let you." I say,"I-I've broken several rules. They-they'll punish me."
It finally dawns on me.

I have left.
I left the force field.
Tyler.
Oh. My. God. Tyler.

I shiver.

"They'll whip me, maybe even torture me!" I add.

He tenses.

I turn around."I'm going to look for her whether you like it or not."

In a flash he is in front of me.

"You are going the wrong way." he says, grabbing my shoulder. He release my shoulder and sighs,"Fine I'll take you to your grandmother. I won't leave you here."

I nod."Can I ask you something?"

He shrugs.

"How did you know I was looking for my grandmother?"

"I was watching you from the trees."

I pause,"Why did you save me?"

He pales,"I couldn't watch someone die again." he says sharply and leads the way to Grandma.
