True Love (Flitz x Mari)

Mari POV
I yawned it was four in the morning, we sat at our desks while joven prepared the cameras "this is your fault sohinki, we have to film the Christmas video last minute" he shrugged "I can't control when I get sick, I got bronchitis not my fault"

We all sat in our designated spots, Wes was first, "alright the rules are Matt is gonna hand us a present don't worry we got one for him too... Any way we'll get the present open it and we'll have three guesses to guess who gave it to us,

I stood behind the door, I heard the wrapping paper shred, "ooh cosplay things" I heard silence I tried to stifle my laughter "is it Noah?" I couldn't hold it I laughed "Mari I can hear you you ruined my guessing experience!" I walked into the room with my head down,

He laughed, "thank you" he hugged me I nodded, "can you go get lasercorn Mari, I nodded" I walked down the hall way, "there you are" I found him in the break room eating a raspberry bagel, "it's your turn" he nodded holding half a bagel in his mouth,

I sat down and grabbed a coffee, Courtney came and sat next to me, "hey Mari" I smiled " "hey Courtney" she grabbed a coffee too, "who'd you get a gift for"
"Wes. You?"
"I'm a horrible secret keeper I got one for you"
"Well that ruins half the fun"
"Yea sorry just pretend like I didn't tell you"
"Hey Mari it's your turn" Noah and Keith said walking back

We walked to the office, and I sat in the seat, Matt handed me a small neatly wrapped box "oh how fancy" I laughed as I opened it,  it was a box made from cardstock, I opened it and saw a ring,

I looked at it, my chest started pounding, I felt uneasy as I reached for it, I heard my heart pound clearly, I picked it up and slid it on to my finger, I sat and stared at it trying to figure out why I felt this way,

"Mari?" I shook it off, "you ok?" I nodded "yea I'm just feeling a little weird" Matt laughed "who got it for you" I thought for a moment "joven?" He shook his head "sohinki?" He shook again "wow really" I was doing a good job of faking it

"This is kinda a long shot but Courtney?" She came out of the door and I smiled and winked, I hugged her "thank you it must have been expensive!" I said, she let go and looked at me weirdly "I know this is weird but are you ok I can hear your heart" I nodded

"I'm feeling kinda strange I should sit down" I walked out, and sat back down in the break room, I yawned putting my head on my arms, I heard whispering,

Lasercorn POV
"Oh my god" i ran to Courtney, I caught her in the hall way, near the break room, I grabbed her shoulder and whispered in her ear, "that ring was Flitz's he was going to propose to Mari, he threw it across the room when Mari broke up with him in rage"

She looked at me with a look of shock and worry, "oh my gosh" she whispered, "we need that ring back" I heard foot steps "why!" It turned around, Mari stood behind us, "why do you need this ring back" I thought of an excuse "we-we can't tell you"

She forcefully pulled the ring off her finger "you want it! Here you can have it" she screamed throwing the ring on the ground, she lifted her foot "Mari don't!" Courtney said sternly "aww is this important, you should have thought of that before giving Ito to be as a gift" she stomped on the ring and walked away

I picked up the now destroyed wedding ring, it was bent dirty and a few of the diamonds fell out into my hand, Flitz walked towards me " I saw Mari what happened"

Courtney pointed her head down ashamed "Courtney found the ring and asked around if it was any ones, no body took it so she gave it as a gift to Mari, I took a good look at it and realized it was a ring you bought, so I told Courtney we needed the ring, Mari heard us and took the ring off and destroyed it"

"I'm sorry" Courtney said Flitz sighed heavily, "it's not your fault"
