I would love to dedicate this chapter to the lovely  HumiiHump she has been so supportive of my story!

I walked into my closet and stripped into my white satin robe. This is our first dinner with the family after the wedding. I opened my music app on my phone and the first song was from Kehlani. Looking through my closet I picked out a light brown v neck crop sweater, jeans with dark brown heel ankle boots. I left my hair how it was still looked just how I left this morning. I touched up my makeup and switched the pink nude lipstick to a darker raspberry color. I was ready for dinner. I walked downstairs to fetch my purse, when a familiar chime came from my phone notifying me that I got a text. Looking at the screen it text message from Adam appears. I got butterflies in my stomach. He actually texted me.

Adam Butron 6:21 PM

Hope I can take you to see the apartment next week.

I waited a minute before I would reply back, not wanting to seem desperately waiting for his text. I was sidetracked by looking at my phone screen. I didn't even hear James walking towards where I was.

"Ready?" James asked as he leaned over behind me grabbing his car keys.

He is dressed casual. In dark blue jeans, a black long sleeve shirt and a tan brown jacket. We read each other's minds picking out our outfits. We walked out and got into the car. Needless to say, once the drive to dinner got a bit awkward. I didn't bring up what I saw arriving at the house and the woman that was with him. I have had enough drama in the last two weeks. I didn't not want to start another fight over this. I kept it to myself. Halfway to our destination I texted back Adam.

Me 7:37 PM

Yeah sure just tell me when.

I sent the text. Reading it over again I sound desperate. Really just tell me when I mentally shook my head.

A bing went off again on my phone.

Adam Butron 7:40 PM

How about this Thursday? At 6 PM?

I sucked in my smile.

Me 7:46 PM

Sounds good to me.

I flipped my phone over and stuffed it into my bag.

"Why are you smiling?" James quickly glanced over to me and our eyes met each other.

"Nothing."

"Well that smiling means something more than nothing," he looked at me again.

Jealous much?

"Keep your eyes concentrating on the road, rather than worrying about the reason I am smiling." I smirked at him just like the way he does to me.
