I was taking out my anger on Alice because I felt guilty that I just slept with her cousin just days before. I wanted to blame it on someone other than me because I was drunk. Instead of getting mad at myself I got mad at her. I was mad that she went on a date while I was away. I was mad that she was interested in someone else than me. I was just mad. I wanted Alice to also feel bad because she went out on a date with Adam. The day that I came back home and kissed her at the front door I felt guilty and I wanted to make it up to her.
Our argument rapidly escalated. From the corner of my eyes I saw Max come back full force running towards me but I was distracted arguing with Alice. Max ran and jumped on top of a fallen tree leaping over on me. When he jumped on me he knocked me off balance. When I stepped back to the ground I fell back.
Everything went black.

I watched Max leap on top of James. Everything went in slow motion as I watched James fall back into the same ditch where I had fallen a couple weeks ago. The ditch was hidden camouflage with debris. But this time the ditch had large broken tree branches and rocks, filled with muddy water.
