Empowered Part 1

It's been one year since we fought with Damien and we started to become friends sorta, he still hates us for killing his father. After the battle with Damien was over I proposed to Charlotte. We plan to have two kids, a girl named Janice. She would be named after my sister who passed away when I was 20.

I'm 25 now, we would also want boy who would be named after Charlie who died on the same day as Janice. They were killed from... died by... anyway. Tyler proposed to Ella just last month but they haven't made up their mind for becoming parents yet.

"Give me your best shot Tyler!" I shouted across the room waiting for him to make his next move. We were in the training room in the old safe house trying to stay fit since we don't want to end up a fat lazy father/husband.

"Okay Alex here I come." He ran at me and I flew in the air using my legs to kick him back. He blocked my kick and was pushed back still standing, "My turn." He said as he ran to me charging something in his hands, I secured my balance ready to take whatever he had. As he pushed his hands apart there was nothing there.

He jumped towards me doing a spin kick throwing me off balance. I took another look and he showed me what he did, he put the power into himself increasing his strength. He fell on one knee and I went over to help him up, "That move is useful, if it were the finishing move." He fell over and a portal opened under him and he was gone.

I stopped and looked all around me, "What do you think now?" Tyler's voice echoed throughout the room so I couldn't tell where he was. "Yea I didn't expect that, now you've got the advantage. Take your shot." I said still trying to find a sign of him. I stayed quiet and went for my sword on the hilt of my belt, I heard something behind me and I quickly pulled out my sword but Tyler went for my legs and I ended up on the floor. I looked at him and pointed my sword at his neck.

"I win Tyler." I said while standing up still with my sword at his neck. He smiled and looked behind me, "You sure you won?" I looked at him and saw half of his right hand was in a portal of his. Don't tell me I looked behind me and there was his hand, practically touching my back. "Which is faster, your sword or my electricity?"

"Fine you win this round." I put my sword away and we sat down and got out some water. Tyler started playing with his portals and looking at dimensions. "You have really gotten a hang of using your portals huh." He nodded as he looked through into dimensions like a t.v changing the channel.

"Hey Alex." he said as he stopped playing with his powers. "Yea Tyler?"

"Do you miss Janice..." he looked at me with serious and curious eyes. I put down my water bottle and looked up at the concrete ceiling, "Of course I do, everyday that goes by there's not one day I don't think of her and how I could've done that day differently." Tyler stood up and kept making portals, "Yea, I miss her too. We all miss her. He gestured his hand forward and created another portal but this time he got into another dimension similar to ours, "What is that?" I said looking into the portal looking at a current battle going on.

"I don't know." Tyler said as we both walked up to the portal. It was horrible, there was homes far off in the distance and you could see people flying away or towards it. "Tyler, what did you just open?"

Tyler stared into the other world in awe, "I think it's a world where... I don't really know actually."

All of a sudden a crowd of people started running to us. I take my wings out ready for the worst. "Tyler close it." someone all of a sudden jumped in front of the portal with a green cloak on her back, she pulled back her bow and shot at the crowd who I guess are after her.

She turned around and it... "JANICE!!" the woman turned around and looked straight me. It was Janice, she's.

"You're alive?!" I said almost stepping into the portal. "Sup Alex-" Janice said. An explosion nearby started to come towards us and got closer by the second.
