Redeemers Part 3

3 1 1

I see Tyler Jo and Fray "wake up" on the ground while me and the others are continuing the fight with Torgar, who continues to swat us away like flies. I see Tyler and Fray go around and form a triangle that surrounds Torgar.

Redeemers and Renegades surround him also with them. "You think you can beat me," he says (Specifically to me and Janice), "I am a god, and when I am done conquering this world, I will visit yours and then yours." he says looking at Jo.

"Light him up!" Jo yells.

Tyler and Jo shot lightning bolts, while fray generates an energy beam from his palm. The attacks hit Torgar at once. He holds out his hands to block, but can't because we attack from different sides. Then, out of nowhere, Kaira starts shooting Kinetic blasts. Me, Janice and Drew shoot fire.

"Keep going guys," Jo says telepathically. Dawn joins in with light beams. Jim throws globs of tar while Vicki shoots sharp concrete stones. The other Redeemers join in with their powers as well. With the different powers colliding on one target, all that can be seen is a bright fusion. Torgar's shrill scream fills the air. "Janice," I think, "Once we stop, finish him."

Jo stops using his powers, then Tyler, then me and Janice. One by one, we stop. Torgar looks horrid, disgusting, and every other word used to describe disfigurement. He lies on the ground, trying to get up. Most of his skin is gone, showing his charred muscle underneath. Hot tar makes his skin sizzle. Concrete stones are jabbed into his sides. Holes made by the light beams cover him. Some electricity emanates off of him. Neither of us are really surprised he's not dead though. He begins to regenerate, but as he does, Jason, Tracy, and two other Redeemers generate a water sphere that covers Torgar's head. It spins and spins, bubbles forming inside. Their downing him. Then, it pops, leaving Torgar coughing up water on the ground.

Before we can do anything else, Janice runs up to him, grabs him by the neck, and pins him to a nearby rock. She draws her blade back and is about to swing until Torgar interrupts.

"You won't kill me," he says, "You need me. If I die, you'll never see your beloved again."

A frozen Janice contemplates what to do. "Don't listen to him Janice," I say, trying to knock some sense into her.

Why'd she stop?

"Oh, I would listen if I were you. I can bring him back. The soul and the body are intertwined. All I have to do is merge them again. You kill me...you kill him."

Janice holds back her swing. "Janice no! That's impossible and you know it. No one can revive the dead. Not even him."

Janice stands there, not knowing what to do. She could either save her loved one and risk having more lives taken, or kill him and never see her late husband again. I can feel her emotions, her pain, her rage, her guilt. Everything that's happened is telling her to finish it once and for all. Yet, there's a last sliver of hope and love that holds her back.

Torgar smirks (with whatever mouth he has left) and winces at the same time. He knows he has her distracted. "Janice please," Jo says psychically, "the fate of all our worlds is in your hands."

She doesn't respond, mentally or physically. She draws back her sword one more time. "If you kill me," Torgar says, "you'll never see him again."

Janice just glares at him and says, "Thanks to you, he died in my arms. I'll always be with him." Tears fill her eyes as she pushes her sword straight into the top of his skull. Blood trickles out and then the stab mark begins to glow. Torgar yells in agony as streams of colored light shoot out from his skull. They land and form into humanoid figures that glow much like my astral form. They outnumber us and look as Torgar's body breaks down and explodes into millions of particles. The sword that was in his head only a few moments ago falls to the ground.
