Harry's POV

She jumped at the sounds of the fireworks exploding in the sky, and I couldn't help but stare at her.

The way she looked in this light, I couldn't catch my breath. Every time I looked at this girl, I felt myself wanting to know her better. I hadn't felt this instant connection with anyone before, I never really allowed myself to.

In an industry like the one I was in, it was hard to tell who was sincere with their feelings, and who only liked me because of who I was.

She caught me staring at her and flashed me that beautiful smile I craved, as I intertwined our fingers.

I wondered what happened on her date with Ashton. She had made it clear he didn't stay the night, but that didn't mean they hadn't done anything. I didn't want to ask her and seem nosey.

Screw it, if I didn't ask I'd always wonder.

"So how was your dinner last night with Ash?" I asked as the fireworks display stopped momentarily.

"Yeah it was really nice, he's such a sweetheart. It's nice having a fellow Aussie around when you're in a foreign country, he made me feel a little more at home. He was familiar to me, you know what I mean?"

I couldn't help the ache in my chest at her words about him making her feel at home. I wish I were the one to make her feel at home. I wish I was familiar to her.

"Yeah I know what you mean," I weakly smiled, trying to hide my jealousy.

I wanted to know more about what happened, but I couldn't bare to hear her rave on about how great he was and how "sweet" he was.

Sure Ashton had a lot going for him. He was funny, a charmer, not as charming as me but close, fun to be around, but most of all, he was Australian, like her. He had one up on me.

I couldn't stand to know all he wanted from her was a casual hook up, she was worth more than that.

"But this date tops it by far, this was the best surprise, thank-you so much for bringing me here Harry, I've had the best time," she mended the ache in my chest, with the sincerity of her words.

With that, all thoughts of Ashton disappeared for the time being. I was the one here with her now, I was the one holding her hand. That's all that mattered to me.

"So I guess the real winner in all this is me then? I'm here with the most beautiful girl in this arena, and I successfully surprised her," I shot her my best smile.

"Well played Styles, " she tucked her hair behind her ear, and shyly smiled before looking down at her hands.

The fireworks started back up again, and I wished I could stay in this very spot, this very moment for a little longer with her.

Before I could wimp out, I brought my index finder under her chin, and tilted her face up to meet mine.

Then I did something I had wanted to do the moment I first saw her. I pressed my lips against hers and hoped in my head she would reciprocate.

Jen's POV

Harry made me so nervous when I was in his presence. I couldn't help but blush every time he complimented me.

He could have any girl in the world, yet here he was in this arena, with me.

As I was staring at my hands, suddenly finding them very interesting, I felt his finger under my chin, tilting it up to meet his gaze.
