Magnus’ eyes fluttered open, and he stared at the ceiling. Images of last night slipped into his mind, and he smiled subtly. He heard a voice next to him. “Shit… this isn’t real, this isn’t real.” The voice was more feminine, higher, softer. He sat up curiously, “Alec, sweetie, what is it…” He trailed off, staring. Alec had his arms wrapped around his chest. Or was it Alec? It didn’t look like Alec – it wasn’t anything like Alec. For starters, it was a girl. She had long messy black hair running down her back – her nude back. She had beautiful hips and curves and had her arms wrapped around her chest. She was breathing heavily, her hair falling over her eyes, but Magnus could see by the shape of her mouth she was angry. She looked so like Isabelle, he thought for a second he’d gotten into bed with the wrong Lightwood. The girl took one hand, and brushed some hair out of her face. Bottle blue eyes were trained on him. “Alec…” Magnus breathed. The girl stared at him, her eyes softening. Her lip quivered. Magnus leaned forward and pulled her against him. Reluctantly, she withdrew her hands from her chest and wrapped them around his back. “Why is this happening? What’s…what is this? Why am I a girl…” She breathed. Magnus pulled apart, Alec’s hands staying on the mattress, forgetting about her chest. She was staring at him. Magnus tore his eyes from her chest, and bit his lip. “Sometimes…when err… I…reach a climax, I cannot control my magic abilities, and…well, sometimes my partners have noticed changes afterwards. All impermanent, of course.” He added, after seeing the look on Alec’s face. “So…I’m…a girl.” She asked. Magnus shrugged,

“for the time being, it appears so.” Alec ran her hands through her hair. She stood up, reaching for her clothes on the floor. “Fuck.” She breathed. He looked at her curiously.

“What is it?”

She reached for her underwear. “It doesn’t fit.” She demonstrated her point by hooking them up to her waist, showing him the excess space. She turned around, her eyes wide, “Am I seriously this…fat normally? I mean this underwear is huge!” She exclaimed, grabbing a fistful of free space. Magnus chuckled, “Alec, girls and boys are built differently. In your womanly shape, you’re not as muscly and taut as you are in your ordinary shape.” He explained, reaching for his one clothes. As he was almost finished dressing, he looked around at Alec. She was struggling immensely with her jeans. Her sweater hung off her. Magnus itched his scalp. “Alec, sweetheart, we have to go see your sister.” He said. Her eyes grew wide. “No! No, no, no, no, no, no, no…no! Izzy will laugh at me! She’ll…I’d rather just stay here until it wears off.” She said. Magnus strode towards her, pulling at the waistband of her jeans, making her gasp slightly. He grabbed the fistful of space. He kissed her lips softly. “I love you Alec, but your clothes are falling off you, you can’t sit around like this. And hey, this is a chance to see how pretty you’d be as a girl.” He smiled, Alec sighed,

“Alright…we’ll…we’ll go find Izzy.” And she moved out of the bedroom. Magnus chuckled to himself, and started putting on his shoes. As he did, he heard loud swearing, and he swiftly moved out of the bedroom. Alec had her hand knotted in her hair. Magnus laughed, and Alec glared at him. “it’s not funny.” She hissed. “It’s all your fault anyway.” Magnus went towards her.

“Alec, here, give me the hairband.” He said. Alec obeyed reluctantly. Magnus grabbed the hairbrush sitting on the side. “You have to brush your hair through before trying to tie it up.” He said. Alec complained, “it hurts…” he murmured. Magnus sighed,

“You’re a shadowhunter, suck it up.”

Magnus found himself sitting on the train next to Alec. She had her hood up, and was looking at the ground, her hands in her pockets. She’d had to roll up her jeans, and they now showed off the bottom of her shins, a couple of runes visible on her ankles. She sat slumped in her seat, looking at her lap. Magnus leaned over, putting a hand on her arm, and she looked up at him, hair was still brushing passed into her eyes. He smiled at her, and she took her hand out of her pocket, and put her hand in his.
