We were already in December and I was excited that Jackie was coming down for the holiday break but it won't be long enough for us to have us time, as I finished wrapping up gifts for my close friends I lingered on Jackie's,

I bought her a promise ring..because maybe we might get married after these years we spent together, as I wrapped it I checked the time, 8:45am had an hour before work and to drop off my parents gifts at the post office, they are travelling around the world as we speak, they wanted me to go but

I just wanted to stay and focus on my studies, I mean travelling the world is pretty cool but having your own career and money is way better then using your parents money "Hey morning Marco" as I walk out my apartment building I see Janna

"Hey, did you have a late shift?" She nodded "Oh yeah, but at least I'm getting paid, later Diaz" she left and I giggled while I make my way towards the post office as I did I saw these people yelling or making fun of someone as I walk closer I put the gifts down and walk towards them "Hey! Leave her alone!"

The guy had a smug look along with the girl "What are you going to do about it nerd?" They laugh and he throws a punch which I twisted his arm and pushed his face against the brick wall "What was that you called me?" He was wining and groaning "Come-on dude let me go, Sabrina do something!" As I look at her she ran off

"Now apologize to her" I twisted harder and he yelped in pain "Ah..okay I'm sorry!" I let go and shoved him away and turned back to her "Are you okay Star?" I pulled her up and saw her lip bruised up and had her cheek a little scrapped up, she ran into my arms and cried, I held back I'm glad I stopped them before it gotten worse "Thank you..Marco" she said between sobs

"No problem, hey where were you going?" She relaxed her breathing and wiped her face with her sleeve "Post office, I was going to send a gift to Tom and my other family.." I pulled her under my arm and grabbed my gifts "We'll go together, I was heading there myself" she stays neutral probably still shaken up about them

"Who are those people?" She sighs a bit "They always picked on me since I was little, because I can't see and I act weird they've stopped messing with me when Tom and I were dating but now he's gone and they came back" I pulled her closer "I won't let them hurt you, where's your eye seeing dog? Lilly?"

"I left her at home, I'm not used to having a service dog take me, I feel comfortable when a person is next to me" I chuckled a bit "I'll never understand you Star, and it's been 5 months since I met you" she giggles "It has been 5 months, we should celebrate, maybe go dancing or go out to eat?" I laugh as we make it to the post office

"I don't know about the dancing part, but maybe a dinner we could definitely go to" she smiles and returns to her bubbly personality "Hello, what Can I do for you?" I gave her the address and star did as well, as we walked around a bit I had to go to work but I didn't want Star to walk by herself in the open

"Hey Star, wanna join me at my job for the day, I'm not really to keen on letting you go back home by yourself" she giggles "Alright, that's a safer idea, I was going to ask you anyways but it worked out after all" we giggled a bit and headed into the store where I see my boss "Morning Marco, hello who is this?" "Dexter, this my best friend Star butterfly, Star my boss Dexter Fitz" he takes her hand in his

"Nice meeting you, feel free to relax" she nods and reaches for my arm and the counter, as he saw what she was he definitely let her stay "What a good friend you are, hey we have an opening in feeding puppies, She can work here part time if she likes?" I looked at Star as she touched each thing but somehow never got hit with anything

"I'll ask her, but I might have to call her parents about it, because believe me her parents treat her like a princess" we joked around for a bit and started to work, as I stocked the shelves with Star which she helped very well we just talked and had a fun, not a lot of people came but overall it was quiet and fun..

when it hit 5pm Dexter closed the store and walked off and I walked Star home, as we did she began singing and it sounded beautiful, even on her worst days she still manages to be bright "I didn't know you sing, I should've bought you a karaoke machine instead "she giggles and shakes her head "Nobody knows I sing, I keep it to myself or when I'm bored" I shake my head

"Hey, maybe on Christmas I'll let you feel my face, as a second gift from me" she looked up at me and smiled "Really?" "Absolutely, but just don't make it weird" she giggles and nods "Alright I won't, and thanks for today, I had fun and also for protecting me from harm" I smirked at her "Of course, bye Star" she waved at me "bye Marco, see you around"

as she opened her door I saw Lilly huge and she was just a puppy, and I see Junior, he was scratching at her feet "Junior, enough" I heard before she shut her door, I walked home and checked my laptop for any messages from Jackie or my parents, I had a couple from my folks and one new video message from Jackie, I quickly clicked in it

(Hey babe, I might be arriving a little late a couple days before New Years Eve and day, just letting you know ahead of time, I'll be leaving the 2nd of January, it sucks I'm not with you on Christmas, I really wanted to maybe next year? I miss you so much and I love you, can't wait to hug you so tight, bye Marco)

I smiled a bit and laughed, Jackie could be a silly girl when it comes between our relationship but overall she's just chill, so I'm alone for a couple days before she gets here, wow it's kinda sad and boring, having my parents be out of town and country all together, I'm utterly alone well I have Star on Christmas day but Eve she's going to see family and New Years Eve probably  going to hang with Tom..

she talked about him coming back into town to hang with her, she also invited me and Jackie to attend her beach house her parents own which sounds awesome, I don't mind cause I actually want to know who her ex was, not that I'm jealous or anything out of the sorts..

As I closed my laptop I lay back on my bed and hear Nico running back and forth in the living room, what am I gonna do? I could hang with Alfonso and Ferguson while that break is happening and signing up for my spring semester too, as I toss and turn in my bed I look at my photo I took of me and Star, I finally asked her for a photo and she said okay, and I looked beside it and see me and Jackie in my hoodie when we were seniors, I chuckled and looked away, everything seems too perfect? Maybe it's my mind playing with me after all..
