It was was a couple more days before Thanksgiving and I was helping my parents with invitations as I sit down on the couch mother sat by me and held my hand in hers "Star, I invited Caleb, I believe you two can bond together" I moved my hands away from her and sigh

"Mom, Caleb is cool and all but he's depressing..he was able to see a week ago but his illness took a worse turn and now is completely blind, I don't mind him but he just complains when I couldn't see my whole life"

I felt my mom put her hand on my lap "I know, maybe you can make him feel better about being the way he is.." I rolled my eyes and groan "Fine..but I want to have him here now, so we can not deal with awkward banter with his family too"

I could feel my mom nod before she answers "Alright, I'll call him right now" she took off and I felt tiny paws on my foot and I knew it was Junior "Hey buddy, where your sister?" As I whistled for Lilly I felt her head lay on my lap, she's been getting train to be there when I need her and she's doing well "Take me to my room"

I stood up and held on the handle and she started walking upstairs and stopped, I guess she knew it was closed, as I reached and turned the handle I entered and she lay beside me "Good girl, you did so well" I kissed her head and I heard jingling coming into my room, which was Junior and he was barking "Junior, please stop barking" I heard a low chuckle and I got scared a bit

"Junior will never get used to me" I sigh but I knew who it was I told mother to invite him over "Yeah, he'll get used to you if you visit more *don't visit* he's a pretty good pup" I felt him sit on the edge of my bed "Star, how do you do everything without any challenges?" I moved closer and grabbed his hand

"Caleb, I was born this way, your lucky you were able to the see the world..I would kill to see the world just once" that's not the only things I wanna see "The world isn't all that great, I had a girlfriend and when I told her I was losing sight, she left me..you know how much that hurts? The person you love leave you like that?" Tom did well when I assumed but he explained afterwards

"Yeah, it hurts but you know what you can do with all that?" He holds onto me tighter "What?" I sigh, say something "Find someone new, a friend that treats you like rose and wouldn't hurt you, and very supportive" I blushed a bit thinking of Marco and I slowly moved my hand away from Caleb "Do you like your friend?"

He asked smiling a bit and I didn't know, maybe I do or don't it's still unclear to me about it, plus Marco is spending time with Jackie, so I won't see him in a couple days "I don't know, but just find someone you can trust and wouldn't leave you for your condition, you'll be surprise what kind of people are out there"

we chuckled a bit before I felt his arm wrap around my waist and brought me closer to him "Thanks Star" I smiled and stood up "Come on, let's go for a walk..it might be November but it's 89 degrees outside" he took my hand and I called Lilly and was at my side "Outside Lilly" she pulled me and I pulled Caleb when we were at my gate I held Caleb's hand

"My friend always told me, it's better to hold on then to let go" I looked up at his fuzzy figure and saw him move his head in a nod "Okay" we walked for a couple hours and had fun actually, Caleb wasn't as depressing as I thought he was, and maybe we could be friends "I had so much fun today Star, thanks for doing this, I can't wait for the party now" I giggled "Your welcome cale-"

I felt his lips on mine and I blushed and moved back, he just kissed me and I don't like him like that "Was I too forward? I'm sorry I got caught in the moment" I felt my lips as they still tingled, it felt caring and loving but I never knew Caleb felt that way about me "Star? Are you here?" I grabbed his hand "I'm still here, Caleb that was very..what's the word?" I felt his hand grab my cheek making me blush once again

"Forward? I'm sorry but before I lost my vision I saw you with Tom, you would laugh and have so much fun even if you can't see and everytime I looked, I looked at you, your long blonde hair, your smile and your unique clothing sense..Star butterfly I think I like you no, I love you" I was shocked and my heart was beating fast and my face was super warm, I didn't know what to feel or hurt his feelings, but it could also take my mind off Marco

"Caleb, that's very sweet and kind of you, but you just got out of bad relationship, I don't want you to feel like I'll leave you like she did" he cupped my face again, which I haven't felt in months, having someone confess they like you and spill out all their feelings "I've met the real you, your funny, cool and beautiful inside and out..so please take a chance with me, just say yes" I didn't know, on one hand I could have a functional relationship and on the other I could just think of Marco for awhile? There's nothing to lose.. "Yes"
